Description:

For many of us, the weather is starting to cool off as we ease into autumn. What better way to spend a chilly day than inside sewing with a hot cup o' something?!

For this Quilts n' Things swap, we will:

  • Post in the comments section 5 themes for fabrics for our partners to choose from to send to us.

  • Send our partners one fat quarter of quilt-shop quality fabric that we think they will like based on their swap comment below.

  • Send our partners a hot beverage to sip while sewing ~ a couple of sealed tea bags, a sachet of hot chocolate, or a mini package of coffee beans, for example. Please consider putting this in a baggie to prevent spills, leaks, and other unpleasantness! If you have an aversion to one of these drinks, please also post it in the comments. But let's not make it TOO hard on our partners!

  • Include a chatty note to your partners to personalize the swap.

  • Sending on or before the send-by date is expected. On the rare occasion that you are not able to send on time, please PM your partner and the swap host.

  • Happy swapping!

My five themes are:

  • Something fall-ish in theme or color
  • 1930s-style reproduction
  • Fruits or veggies
  • Something you consider fun, funky, or bold
  • Something you think would make a nice gift bag or pin cushion

For drinks, I'm happy with anything that doesn't contain an artificial sweetener or floral taste. Thanks!

I'm excited...this is my first swap since finally being able to join Quilts N Things! :-) I would be happy with: tea or cocoa, dark civil war print, 30' reproduction, off white tone on tone, or any red or yellow "frenchy looking" print.

Oops! I almost forgot to do this part of the swap! I would love cocoa or black tea from where you live if that's possible. I'm not hard to please, so surprise me! Fabrics: Sea related, small birds, small animal (any kind), batik, kitchen related novelty small print, anything from these that is not cartoony or kids prints. Looking forward to this swap!!

Fabric themes:

You are always welcome to surprise me and do sender's choice as long as you don't send civil war repros or those muddy colors!

think "white" - as in white on white, mostly white background, white in the print - I find I'm woefully light on "lights" in my stash as my natural inclination is to buy saturated or bright colors.

Christmas ornaments - not a santa fan, but something with ornaments OR trees OR elves OR any combination would be cool - like small amount of Christmas novelty as well

Medium shaded stuff - not pastel, but medium - I'm an all or nothing personality and it shows in my stash!!

Oops! I actually sent my parcels yesterday, but forgot to mark them as sent! They are on their way.
