A Parcel of Postal Goodness, Inside & Out
Swap description
Send your partner a small package containing at least 3 items from the following list:

  • Mailing labels
  • Personalised address labels
  • A handmade/hand-decorated postcard
  • An ATC
  • An art or craft-related zine
  • A rubber stamp
  • An ink pad
  • A small (A5 or half-sized) sheet of faux postage, or equivalent quantity of individual artistamps
  • Handmade envelopes
  • A handmade notecard- or letter-set
  • A collection of salvaged papers that a letter could be written on (a 'quirky' writing paper set)
  • A couple of vintage postcards, either written & postmarked, or unmailed
  • One or more items that are postal or mail art-related, and also relevant to your partner's profile

Complete your (alliterative) Parcel of Postal Goodness by personalising the packaging, so that it is fun to receive, from the outside in. This can be as simple as adding your own faux postage/artistamps to the outside, to decorating an entire envelope with your choice of artwork, to packaging in a handmade envelope of some kind, or sending within some kind of 'container' that you would not normally see mailed (e.g. milk carton a la @Pahasiga ;-) ).

Swap requirements

  • Unless specified, the items may be handmade, 'found', vintage or store-bought.
  • You may re-gift items (e.g. ATCs, postcards, zines), but make sure that the original artist is credited for anything handmade.
  • The swap is sender's choice, but please put in some thought, & try to make your partner smile.
  • 2 partners = 2 Parcels of Postal Goodness sent, and 2 Parcels of Postal Goodness received.

The obvious bit
Ratings of 5 or just below only, and at least 5 postal swaps. If you don't meet these requirements, & you sign up without PM'ing me, I will remove you from the swap. I will check through participants & remove people I think are a potential risk, so please PM me to explain any unjustified comments or ratings, and I will take that into account. Please only sign up if you have both the time and inclination to fulfil the swap!

(Please check out my group Zines, mail art & other cool stuff for more swaps like this :-).)

I love the idea of this swap! Watching and hoping I'll have enough time for it to join.

Could we make envelopes for one of the three items we include?

TangleCrafts 11/ 8/2009 #

Yup, that's fine :-). Will add it to the list above.
