Description:

I am at my grandma's and so I am limited to ATC supplies, but when she gave me two old phone books and told me to throw them away, I decided to use them for my ATC's. They turned out looking pretty good and so I decided to have a phonebook ATC swap. You can use any part of the phone book, - the cover, the ads, any of it. Be as creative as possible. Don't use anything else with it, just items from the phone book.

make 1 ATC for 2 partners. Be sure to include your information on the back. (Who made it, date and title if you have given it one.)

Looking forward to this swap as I just happen to have a few old phone books mixed in with my new ones !!!!

Cool idea. I'm in.

Great! I was thinking about deleting this swap because I am already in a private swap using my ATC's, but when I saw that 19 had already signed up I knew I had to continue. I am glad to see so many are interested.

I'm wondering if it's ok to use ink to emphasize something, Or can we dye pieces of the pages different colors to add intrest?

jakfrostwife 07/28/2007 #

Ok, what about embellements? Can we add them? or just the phone book?

Maddy 07/29/2007 #

What about the cardstock for the ATC to be mounted on? Is it OK to use normal cardstock? In Australia, phone books only have soft flimsy covers!

LMM 07/30/2007 #

I wonder where the coordinator is? I took the instructions literally and did not use any further embellishments or inks, but I did use regular cardstock as the base. The computer should automatically assign our partners if she doesn't OK the list of participants within 3 days....

sharrona 07/30/2007 #

I am sorry that the weekend kept me from the computer. I was hoping that you would be just as creative with your designs that you didn't need to use other embellishments or anything. It can be mounted on cardstock or regular ATC cards, playing cards, or whatever you normally use. Again, I am sorry I didn't get to read your comments until today...

I will be working on the ATC's for my partners today and getting them ready to mail off. (It is so incredibly hot here, and it is hard to find inspiration...)

Sent mine yesterday - just made from a phone book and lots of glue! I even managed to use the book cover as cardstock. Hopefully they won't be held up too long by the postal strike going on here...

Artistic 08/ 2/2007 #

Envelopes are postal from Virginia headed to my partners. Let your fingers do the walking! :)

I just got back from our lake place and after rereading the instructions~I had to make another one since the first I did use embellements~So the second one didn't get done till late tonight~Sorry but they are (ALL) both on there ways to my partners!
