I am a 50 year old widow who is still trying to figure out who I am, now that I am alone. My husband and I had been married for 22 years, no kids, self employed artists. I have a couple of young cats who keep me on my toes. They are sisters, but couldn't be more different if they were chalk and cheese. Koosh-Koosh is my little sweetheart, and Melon, well let's just say she has a challenging personality and leave it at that. I live in my studio, it's pretty raw space, but it has great windows, high ceilings, and open floor plan. I love crafts of all sorts, scrapbooking, bookmaking, papercrafts, to that end I'm a packrat. I love to find new uses for old things. I'm an Aunt 12 times over, so they add alot to my life. I paint every day, though lately my work has been pretty dark. I might have to get a real job, but I don't know as what. I'm just learning to use the computer at my local Library, I've gone from "hopeless to pathetic " so it's slow, but I'm getting there. My favorite colors are jewel tones and earth tones. I'm not so into pastels, but I like them sometimes. It really depends on my mood at the time. The only color I just can't stand is the toxic-pea green I was forced to wear as a bridesmaid. That was an expensive dress too! I don't really collect anything in particular, though I seem to have quite a few things with turtles or lizards on them. I also like hawks, love to watch them soar. I seem to paint bears alot, I like thier shape, and they sell better than my lizard paintings. I'm all about comfort. I don't dress to impress, my furniture doesn't have to look good, it just has to be easy to clean and be comfy. I love antiques, but I don't want to be responsible for them. I like vintage stuff, my favorite flower is the pansy. I love making dotee dolls....it's become my latest obsession.

I like all kinds of music, from opera to country, I love going to local open mike nights to hear new original music.

I like them all, I don't do well with yarn, but I think I've at least tried it all. I love to bead, embroider, and weave, but I need to let my 2 kittens grow up and get lazy before I get back to those pursuits.

I love beads...all types and sizes. Alot of people don't care for seed beads...frown on pony beads...don't think that plastic beads are real beads at all, but I love them all. I seem to go through alot of amber colored beads, I can never have too many rocailles or pearls. I think I like the lampwork beads the best.
