This is going to be a swap to celebrate Mother's day in an edible way!

We're going to send one package to one mom. It can be our own mom, our step-mother, a friend or a relative who is a mom, or even ourself, if we're moms and we think we deserve a nice package to celebrate that! :)

Inside the package will go:

  • a note or a card with our wishes and some lines to the mom we're sending the package;

  • 2 edible surprises for this mom - money value should be about 5$/3,50€ not including shipping.

What's going to be this surprise? Easy! We will just write a list of 6 themes that our chosen mom would like. For example, if my mom likes a certain kind of fruits and she loves meat, I might write "red fruits" and "spices" among the other themes. Once partners are assigned, each swapper will check this list and choose 2 themes, and send something linked to those themes. We will have 1 whole week between the partner assignment and the sending date, I think it will be enough.

Of course we want to please our moms as much as possible, but we cannot be too picky and specific. Choose wisely the 6 themes and I'm sure that each of us will find something great to send!

Mother's day date changes in every country but it's always in may, I guess that any mom would enjoy to recieve a package anytime, but in may it's even better :)

Of course, remeber always to:

  • Package your items appropriately. Glass items and fragile foods should be wrapped and boxed to prevent breakage. It's a good idea to use a plastic baggie for anything that can leak, melt, or tear open during shipping.

  • Please send items in their original, sealed packaging for health and customs reasons. Be sure to check expiration dates and only send in-date food items that will not expire before reaching your partner.

  • Send and rate on time. On the rare occasion that you may need to send a bit late, please contact your partner AND the swap coordinator before the swap deadline has passed.

Things my mom would love: - teas - candy - cookies/cakes - jams - anything sweet - anything gingerbread

ATTENTION..my mom likes can't eat a lot of chocolate (though she likes it so it's better not sending chocolate bars or things with a lot of chocolate though things such as flavoured chocolate things or with chocolate chips for example are ok!)

I will have the package go to my mom or my sister, depending on where it's coming from. They each like different things, so I'll post more details about one of their likes as soon as partners are assigned. I hope that's OK! :-)

This is for my Mom, whose name is Sandy. She loves when I share my edibles treats with her and my Dad, so I thought she'd really like this. :-)

  • She LOVES tea, but prefers to drink herbal or non-caffeinated teas. She seems to enjoy fruit flavored teas, but would probably go nuts for a chocolate tea or an unusual fruit or floral tea.
  • Anything milk or white chocolate.
  • Healthy snacks
  • Specialty cookies
  • Snack food local to you
  • honey flavored or honey in it
