I enjoy all music except jazz, techno and rap. I especially like music from the 70's, folk music, Kate Rusby
I listen to books on tape/CD all the time, usually mysteries. The lastest book wasn't a mystery tho, it was "A Thrall's Tale" and it was fabulous! I also love Robin Hobb, a fantasy writer., sci fi, thrillers, and gothic romances, "The Cat Who.."books, Alexander McCall Smith books, travel books of Bill Bryson, Harry Potter
I'm not a big movie-goer, but old movies on TV are really fun for me. I like The English Patient, Little Miss Sunshine, Edward Scissorhands, Willow, Ghostbusters, Cool Hand Luke
History Channel, Discovery Channel, the Most Dangerous Catch, X-Files, Numbers, House, Naked Archaeologist, bicycle racing like Tour de France, Funniest Home Videos
I have been a handspinner for over 30 years. I also sew, knit, and weave. I make knitted garments and weave blankets from handspun, and I enjoy random creative sewing. I have gardens here- a veggie garden, a rose garden, an orchard, several flowerbeds and a greenhouse.
There are 4 cats and 3 dogs that live in my house, they graciously allow my husband and daughter and me to live here too, provided we reach down the food for them. Birds and rats are fav pets for me too, but I dont have any right now.
I am a mystery shopper locally, going to places like drug testing/urine drop places to see if they are professional and not scary; restaurants, check cashing businesses, apartments to see if the sales person makes you feel like you'll lose the apt. if you dont rent NOW; grocery stores, banks... its fun and they pay to PayPal. I also sew for a lady who sells Scottish dance supplies online, I make child kilts and all her blouses; I am in a weaver's Guild and we do outreach, helping expose the public to weaving and spinning- I demo at the Renaissance Festival here in Kansas City on my spinning wheel. And I volunteer at the local animal shelter twice a week, feeding and cleaning up after about 35 cats- we are a no-kill shelter, and some cats have been with us all their lives. We have one with 3 legs, one with no teeth, and two former vicious tomcats that are now lovers, not fighters.
I like all types of stickers and kawaii. I love ATCs, you can always send me one of those! Also chocolate, candy, crunchy salty snacks, wool yarn, anything with a spinning wheel on it, anything with a sheep on it, coffee, gnomesand elves, gardening gloves, the UK, cats, colors in the blue-to-purple-to pink range, small scissors, Nag Champra incense, new teatowels, cute socks, mittens. Any type of tea or coffee is appreciated, any type of sweet or salty snack too. I enjoy trying new things and am not picky! I am not allergic to anything. I do celebrate the usual American holidays, no religious affiliation, I'm a non-smoker. If You like it, I will like it!

Thank you so much for the tea (edible group). It came in a perpect day, the coldest day this year. I write you while drinking it, and it is great! Thank you very much!
Thank you for the box of nature's oddments - it was what I wanted!! I have not explored its contents thoroughly, but I did press the pokeberries and have a small container of "ink" in my fridge. Also: bonus surprise contents of a small, live spider! Pretty sure that wasn't included intentionally, but my boyfriend and I thought she was pretty swell. She was gently relocated to a tomato plant in our windowsill, but appears to have abandoned her guard post there... hopefully she isn't trying to find her way home!
Thank you so much for the See's peanut brittle from the Edibles group tag. I can hardly wait to open it. Thank you also for the care you took in packaging it~the brittle arrived in perfect shape and the box was so cheerful in my mailbox. :-)
Another lovely gift from you, thankyou so much. I will enjoy using this wool and will show you pix of the finished items. (Sheep Tag).
Thank you for the candy bar for the All about chocolate group tag. Yum!
Thank you for the note cards and FABULOUS hat.
Thank you so much for granting my wish for October! Love the socks and will be wearing them tomorrow!! Thanks for the deco tape, I love this stuff. : )
Thank you for the wonderful wishlist package. I can't tell you how excited I am for Tuesday to get here so I can sit down and read the magazines. (The clay will have to wait for a longer time at home and I'm sure the beads will find their way into something rather quickly - they are very unique.) You totally made my day and I really appreciate it.
-Karen
Thanks so much for the October wishes you sent to me. I loved every bit of it and it showed how much care you used putting it together for me. You really brightened my weekend!
Thank you SO much for the Autumn WTA package which arrived today - just in time to beat those rotten PO strikers! I love it all :)
