U.S. Only Newbies allowed only if you contact me first, all others at least a 4.8.

Well, after all the fun summer swaps that I spent a little too much money on, there are still things I actually NEED. So let's wrap up our summer swaps, and start out the fall with something a little more practical.

For this swap you will have 1 partner. Everyone will post a list below of 10 items they NEED--for their home, personal care, etc. (Please, nothing that would make someone uncomfortable!) Maybe you can't find what you're looking for in your area, or you just want to try a different brand. Whatever. This swap will make you feel a little less guilty about swapping! From the 10 items your partner lists, you will have to send 5. Even though these are things we need, please make sure they're nice; of a quality you would want. Now you can show your 'significant other' that you have a good reason for swapping!

I'll start us off:

  1. A shower liner--not a curtain, but a liner.
  2. A king-sized pillow case.
  3. Baby diaper covers (for cloth diapers) size med. or lg.
  4. A thick oven mitt.
  5. Q-tips.
  6. Dish cloths.
  7. A tea-bag squeezer--I'm sure there's a real name for it!
  8. Lysol or Clorox disinfecting wipes.
  9. A mouse pad. (I don't have one!!!)
  10. Scotch tape--always need it! Double-sided, too!
KerrWriter 07/28/2007 #

I love this idea. I'll have to think about it and come back. I'm sure there are things I need.

Phoenyx 07/28/2007 #

Things I need:

  • A new muffin tin
  • Two mouse pads (my husband's is too old, and I don't have one at all!)
  • An afghan/comforter/quilt to cover my ugly couch
  • A pack of 9-pocket ATC sleeves for a 3-ring binder
  • CD-Rs, so that I can burn more CD mixes
  • Jewel cases or Sleeves for CDs
  • Refills for or new Glade Plug-Ins (no lavender nor jasmine scents)
  • Soup Mixes/Dry Soups/Cup-A-Soups (no meat), Miso (White or Red) and/or Ramen (any).. I live off of soups mainly so I am always needing more soup. Canned is great too, but gets heavy to send, I imagine.
  • Spices: I always need the following herbs/spices: garlic powder, chili powder, curry powder, black pepper, cilantro, basil, and oregano
  • A small rug to put inside my front door

I hope that this list is alright.

Thank you.
-Phoenyx

WendyB 08/13/2007 #

Hello. Here is my list:

  1. AAA batteries

  2. Sock yarn - fingering weight, No acrylic needs some wool content. None of the stores here carry it, so I have to buy the mega expensive stuff online. Any color except navy blue.

  3. A new loaf pan (like for making banana bread)

  4. Postage stamps - something unusual or pretty, not just the liberty bell ones, if you can manage it.

  5. New pot holders. The flat kind, not the mitt-type. My kitchen is cow themed and corn-flower blue.

  6. Christmas cards. Hand made or un-used left overs would be great.

  7. Refills for Glade plug-ins

  8. New, blank address book.

  9. Spiral notebook, 8/12 x 11 inches (standard notebook paper size) in a nice, not dark color.

  10. Crystal Light drink mix in Orange/Strawberry/Banana flavor (that is one flavor, not 3)

Looking forward to seeing who my partner is!!! WendyB
