I am getting dangerously close to my 4oth birthday. A California native, city girl who is getting ready to move to the country to have a small, hobby farm and be RETIRED from the full-time job life style. Any info you want to share about gardening, livestock, homesteading, home dairy-ing, spinning or farming in general would be GREAT!! Books or magazine articles on the same would be appreciated. For the next year or so, I am collecting insurance balances for Catholic Healthcare in Orange County, California. I have been married for 22 years and have 2 teenaged girls (Geez!! that makes me sound so OLD!). One kid just left for college at UC Berkeley (sniff) and the youngest is a High School Senior, in the Marching Band's Colorguard and works at Disneyland. I also have a long-haired, brown, minature dachshund (weiner dog). His name is Jackson (as in $20 bill) and he is the second love of my life!
The Beatles, B52's, Kenny Loggins, Harry Connick Jr., Brian Setzer, Lynard Skynard, Aerosmith, Oingo Boingo (really anything Danny Elfman), Red Hot Chili Peppers
Harold and Maude, Defending Your Life, Shawn of the Dead, City Slickers, Arthur, Stranger Than Fiction.
I love the color pink and things that are pretty and girlie.
I generally don't like black.
Send me the grocery coupons out of your Sunday paper and I will give you hearts!!
5-inch charm squares in 100% cotton (see note below about fabric)
Anything Daschshund (weiner dog).
Presents for Jackson the Daschshund.
Recipes that have been handed down from past generations for food that is your family tradition.
Cute and interesting salt and pepper shakers
Journals with lined pages
Things useful for making soap
Thing useful for making my own cheese
Stickers
Pretty writing pens
Extremely obsessive quilter. Becoming more and more obsessed with knitting. I have been known to dye my own fabric. PLEASE DON'T SEND ME ANY FABRIC (unless you are a quilter who understands that quality quilt fabric comes from quilt shops NOT Walmart or Joanne's and that we don't quilt with "scraps") I would love to do some fabric charm swaps with QUILTERS who understand quilt fabric (see note above). PM me if you are interested.

Did you ever received the themed 6x9 envie swap (which I sent it in a box and explained why with the enclosed letter)? It's been almost 3 weeks and I still haven't received any rating from you so I'm a little worried.
WendyB - Thank you very much for the lovely hand-stamped and hand-drawn birthday card. Hope you're 40th is wonderful (when it happens) as well! Cheers!
"send me your stuff" package in the way, back to your hands.
I received the package, thanks so much for the extra tea! Please let me know when you receive yours, I hope you like everything I picked out for you! I will be able to use the scrapbooking items so even though this was an interesting situation (if you like what I picked out for you) then all will have turned out alright anyways! :-)
Wendy,
I will begin stitching a set of 9 patch blocks for you since I have heard nothing back from your partner. These are not to replace the blocks she has committed to. Please only rate her if she completes the swap.
Thanks, Christine
