For this swap you will make a Christmas ornament for your partner. No paper ornaments! No toilet paper roll 2nd grade project ornaments. The ornament you make must be your best work. No slapping something together or having your children/grandchildren make something instead of you doing it. It must be of high quality and something you would love to receive. The ornament must be gift wrapped, with a bow so your partner can put it under the tree if they'd like.

This swap is open to USA and Canada only and you must have a perfect rating to participate. (5.0)

Have fun with this and allow yourself plenty of time so you can make something special. I'm giving this swap tons of time so no excuses!

Are beadwork ornaments acceptable?

BarkleysMommy 09/13/2010 #

Is any non-paper medium acceptable? (Punched tin, beadwork, plaited reed, wood...)

mlbstudios 09/13/2010 #

Sure! Any medium that isn't paper related is perfect.

Love the no "having your children/grandchildren make something instead of you doing it." :)

I just joined! I've been on an ornament-making streak. Even though some paper ornaments can be very intricate and pretty, I agree that it can be a bummer to receive paper if you've spent time sewing or beading or embroidering or crafting something more durable. :)

Glad to have you!

I am so excited about this! I just got a book on how to decorate some beautiful glass ornaments and can't wait to get started...is it profile-based at all or should we just go ahead with it?

mlbstudios 10/14/2010 #

Nope, not profile based, you are free to create what you'd like to. Have fun!
