Hey! I've finally got my Etsy store going good, and so I have a little time to do some new swaps! Yay! The link to my store is above! If there's something you like that I make, it's probably in the store and you can either order it, or convo me in Etsy and ask for a swap! I'll get back to you that way the very same day!
Here is the deal with my amis: I only work from patterns occasionally. I often make the same type of ami for two people, but it never comes out exactly the same. Even when I work off of a pattern, I like to make it a bit differently than the original. I don't like to make something that someone else already made. I will work with you to make something that you will really love, just so long as you aren't looking for something that looks like, for instance, a 12" Pink Hello Kitty on an Apple with a red bow on her head. I am not that crocheter. I can make you a kitty. But specifics will be a surprise to both of us. The character of the kitty will emerge as I create her/him.
I work more than full time in a government job, volunteer extensively with the homeless and addicted community, and live with my hubby and step-daughter, who is 5 (we have her on weekends). I like to play sims and also hidden object computer games, and fantasy games, although not warcraft type. I have a Wii and a PC.
I Always, Always send my swaps out and usually far before the due date!!! So if you don't get it on time, let me know, and if its the mail problem (which I don't have around here often, as I live near a big city), I'll definitely resend, ASAP. I also intend to always go the extra mile for you on swaps. I'd like people to be really happy to get them. Otherwise, what's the point of all this?
I also promise to rate promptly and fairly. I reuse packaging! I have not bought any new packaging since I started here! I'm always able to recycle what I get from swapping and online shopping! This frees up part of my swap budget to spend more money on your items!
I love any fantasy like Harry Potter and even fairy tales, but I also love anything by Marian Keyes, Maeve Binchy, Sophie Kinsella, or the like (British Chick-lit, I think it's called, rather condescendingly, by more classically oriented literature critics). I love travel books, especially about exotic locales. I also enjoy historical fiction, Phillipa Gregory and her ilk, much to my shame. Oh and I've read all of Jane Austen several times over. I read all my favorite books over and over.
Books about Geishas and other aspects of historical Asian culture (and other cultures as well) fascinate me. I love books about sci-fi, esp vampires!
I also absolutely love rereading the books I read as a child (Little Women, Heidi, and all the rest are still on my shelves). Anyone know who is writing the next Harry Potter-type or Sookie Stackhouse type of books? I'd love more fantasy like those series. And if you are finished with any fictional audio books, I like them!
Donating $10 out of every pay to my local rape crisis center as part of my healing journey.
Working on now:
sending to new swapper April for flaked birthday swap--completed and ready to mail! (several items including earrings/kitty/cowl)
I love making things! My current favorite is crochet, especially Amigurumi making. I make a lot of purses, too, and cowls and wraps of all sorts.
I'm a quilter, and I love to sew.
I also want to learn to make stained glass one day. I want to try sculpy clay craft, pottery, glass blowing, and metal-working.
I do some acrylic painting, tole painting.
I make jewelry, love it.
I make greeting cards.
I love embossing!
This isn't a gimme list! It's just that I join a lot of profile swaps and I like people to have a lot to choose from, so they can raid their stash easily, rather than having only one or two things they might not have on hand!
Big hole beads,
Shambala cord and other Shambala supplies
Buttons. organic looking or fancy, or unusual! or sets of 4, 5 or 6 for projects.
Embossing powder, but not the "distress" kind from Tim Holtz. It bleeds everywhere and isn't my style! I love the kind that heats to a shiny finish. I need pink now.

My 5 year old step daughter is the same age as my grandson! She loves girly things, sparkly things, etc, and is currently learning to read.
My etsy faves aren't necessarily things for you to buy me, except maybe some of the 1-5 dollar stuff. I have many marked as faves for myself to get back to and buy someday (when I'm rich!)
Porn/nude images-I'm very sensitive to the objectification of womens' bodies in art or commercials
