Description:

This is my first swap in the Paper Passion Group. I've set the sign-up date and send by date a little further out than I usually do, but I wanted this swap to be after the holiday rush.

When I found This awesome tutorial, I just knew we had to have a swap for one!

So, here's what you do. Follow the tutorial and make 1 Altered Ribbon Spool Box for your partner. Fill it with inexpensive little things, like buttons, ribbon, bows, stickers, tags, etc.

Quality craftwork only. Send something you would love to have and are proud to send.

Guidelines: Must have been rated for 10 separate snail mail swaps, 4.95 rating or higher, all unresolved 1's or 3's will be closely reviewed. Known non-raters may also be banned. I will ban anyone that I feel might not be able to fulfill the swap requirements.

Sender's choice, but make sure your profile is WELL filled out - just in case your partner wants to send profile based items.

Wow, thank you so much for taking the time to find us a new craft to do! I think a lot of us have ribbon spools that we can use.

Great swap idea!!! I can't wait for this one!

Thanks @MeganMagnoliea and @Candyn29 - I love it when I come across a fun tutorial!

Do you think a padded bubble mailer would be secure enough to prevent the box from being damaged? Or would something else need to be done?

missstamper 12/ 6/2010 #

A bubble mailer might be fine, but I will probably "double bubble" mine. Wrap bubble wrap around it and then put it inside a bubble envelope. Any other ideas.

This is really cool! I hope you hold another one in the future. I have 2 family Christmases and a birthday party to get ready for. NO time to make one right now!!

On mailing question....I would probably find a small, flat box to put it in, then in a bubble mailer.

missstamper 12/20/2010 #

@instiches - if there is enough interest I will do these every month or so, maybe with different colors or themes!

Gofeen 12/20/2010 #

Do you have to follow the tutorial exactly, every step of the way? In the tutorial it says to attach the lid to the box by making a hole and using a brad. Mu spools are not thick enough to do that but I'd love to join the swap. I have another idea for doing that part.

missstamper 12/21/2010 #

@Gofeen no the tutorial is just a guide. Feel free to modify it

Partners are assigned. Please PM me if you have any questions.

Creativemind 12/29/2010 #

Ok, one more question although partners have been posted. Do we have to add little things or can we just add a nice little surprise instead? Mine is done is pretty much ready to be sent, but just wondering about that little tid bit.

missstamper 01/ 6/2011 #

I think a nice little surprise would be okay. PM you partner if you have doubts.
