Description:

At Christmas time we had a super fun swap to exchange little gifts and then open them, counting down the days until Christmas. Thanks to @hoppyloo and @pahasiga for developing the idea to do something similar for Easter.

You do not have to celebrate Easter as a religious holiday in order to participate. This can just as easily be for spring-themed items. Please note below if you prefer not to receive religiously-themed Easter items in this swap.

We will:

  • Have 2 partners.

  • Send each 6 mini surprises. Try to be creative with your small choices and send things to put a smile on your partners' faces. This will be a challenge!

  • The 6 surprises should be contained in something egg-shaped. This could be plastic eggs, shapes made from cardboard, paper mache, or fabric, or an egg carton for 6 with the presents wrapped inside. I'm sure we will all be creative and festive with our packaging. :-)

  • The 6 little gifts can be store-bought, handmade, or a combination. The guideline for minimum value is $3 US, 1 hour of crafting, or a reasonable combination of the two for each partner.

  • Please include a note of a few sentences to your partner to personalize the swap.

As always, these are the group expectations for swaps:

  • Please send your swap on or before the due date. This is especially important because we will begin opening our gifts one at a time on April 13. This will give us 12 days to open a little gift until Easter on April 24.

  • Be sure to package your swap securely to prevent against leaks, squishes, breaks, and other sad, sad damage. Using a box rather than a padded mailer is probably going to be necessary this time.

  • Go out of your way to make this a NICE swap for your fellow group member. It doesn't cost anything extra to be extra thoughtful. :-)

ENJOY! I can't wait until our Easter count down begins!

I missed out on the fun with the Christmas version! So excited for this one. I prefer my items to be non religious please!

I also prefer a non-religious theme. I'm so looking forward to this one! :-)

If you haven't already, please put some of your favorites in your profile- like if you are a gardener, if you collect bluebirds, if you love the beach etc. to help your partner select these treats for you! And, I love chickens, ducks and raccoons...

Non-religious for me, please.

pahasiga 02/26/2011 #

Non-religious for me, too.
