I have worked in the video game industry for about 6 years now. I am a huge comic book and video game nerd who lives with her artist boyfriend and our two cats.
We live in downtown Denver and while I love the busy downtown lifestyle, I miss having a yard. I am hugely into container gardening, growing everything from hot peppers to tomatoes to jackfruit.
knitting is my # 1 but I also crochet often, sew and pretty much try anything I can get my hands on.
I prefer natural fiber yarns, and very rarely use acrylic, but blends are ok by me if they have a great feel to them. I am nearly addicted to all Noro products, the colors are so rich and saturated.
I love nearly all colors and have a great love of all greens. I really enjoy playing with unusual color combinations and it's not uncommon to see me making a pair of striped socks in lime green and hot pink!
I am allergic to walnuts and pecans and usually stay away from all tree nuts just to be on the safe side.
Dark chocolate and white chocolate are my two favorites, I really like trying new varieties that are mixed with something ie: chocolate and blueberry or chili.
I am a coffee addict and while I especially love dark roasts, all are ok with me! I also enjoy tea and have at least 10 varieties at home at any given time.
Man I am ALL over the place when it comes to music. I have a deep seated love of 80's New Wave and Alternative. Electronic drum n bass and trance? Yes please! Classic rock like the Stones and Creedence? Ok! Disco? Bring on the Bee Gees and ABBA now.
I really am a huge nerd. If it involves sci-fi, new and retro comics, I will love it. I am definitely not into the anime side of things but I have a soft spot for the darker sanrio characters like chococat and badzt maru.
I would consider myself a fiber snob as I spin my own yarns as well as knit them, but I really do love to see what others pick out for me. I honestly believe that it is the thought that counts and the excitement of swapping with someone will always over ride any dismay at getting something that might be the "wrong" color or fiber blend. I am really quite easy to please :)

I am a fibre snob, too. I love Noro! I have some Noro socks on the needles at the moment... they match my Noro hat and wristwarmers.
