I'm Helena and I'm an IT consultant and a vegan who lives in Göteborg (aka Gothenburg) in Sweden with my husband Jonas.

We're expecting a baby in November 2008, and I'm finally feeling better again after many months of puking... That's why I've been laying low here for a while and I think I will for a bit longer because there's a lot on my mind right now.

My hobbies are writing, reading, bookcrossing, swapping (of course!), taking pictures, watching movies, web design, traveling and discovering new places.

Fruit (fresh and dried), vegan chocolate, the ocean, the sky, sunsets, stargazing, surprises, wild animals, birdwatching, cupcake decoration, organic and/or fairtrade products, hearts, stars, opening presents, chickpeas, tofu, mushrooms, tulips, colors (can't say one or two favorites, it all depends on what it's for!), fonts, google, flickr, and so on...

Wishlist:

• Bookcrossing labels, stickers etc (home made or printed from the web is fine!)
• Bookcrossing books in English or Swedish
• Useful baby things
• Stuff for baking, especially cupcakes and decorations
• Stickers
• Cotton socks (EU 37, US 6.5, UK 4)
• Vegan candy
• Vegan anything :)
• Interesting magazines - photography, travel, graphic design, writing etc (not gossip and fashion)
• Recipes - vegan or easily made vegan
• Hand-written letters
• Letter sets
• Tote bags/re-usable shopping bags
• Etc! I love surprises!

Books wishlist:

• Almost anything else by China Miéville
• "Heart-Shaped Box" by Joe Hill
• "Duma Key" by Stephen King

When it comes to books, used and/or bookcrossing books are fine! When the original language is English or Swedish, I prefer reading the original language. If it was written in another language, either English or Swedish works. I can also read a little French if it's not too hard...

Generally I'd like to receive useful (not much for collecting stuff just because it looks nice) things that are nice, as in clean, fresh and decent quality. If I don't think I need something I've received for myself I'll enjoy sending it to someone who might appreciate it as long as it fills the "nice" requirement.

Make up, heavily scented stuff (non-edibles), earrings, very girly stuff, sexy/erotic stuff like nudity and pinups, animal products, anything that promotes sexism, racism, speciesism, homophobia or any other kind of discrimination of individuals or groups of individuals...

I'm currently on a little break from swapping tea, which I normally enjoy very much. My pregnancy has totally put me off tea, but maybe that will change - I hope so!
