ATCs, inchies, twinchies, postcards. Honestly, I'm up for any type of art!

Themes I Like: History related, vintage, mixed media of any type (I especially like items that utilize public domain images including illustrations and engravings from books), theatre, vaudeville, Niagara Falls, Gettysburg, RMS TITANIC, quotes, steampunk, cemeteries/headstones, LGBT related, rainbows, tigers, armadillos, butterflies, dogs, owls (I guess most animals actually, usually with a cartoon or caricature twist), Wizard of Oz/WICKED, anything mental health related including images/photos of mental health hospitals/institutions/asylums (active or abandoned), abandoned/decaying buildings/towns/cities (think dilapdated theatres/houses or ghost towns like Centralia or Chernobyl), unique or antique keys/locks/doorknobs, clocks, unique or antique light fixtures, LAMPPOSTS, trains, morse code and it's related instruments, maps (especially historic/outdated), stickers, buttons. I think that's enough :)

Wish List

Vintage looking paper/ephemera, ribbon/lace, fabric scraps (even tiny pieces!), 140lb art paper, quality paint brushes/canvases of any size, acrylic paint, stamps clear or woodblock, archival inks, anthing Tim Holtz/Ranger, anything WWII related

About Me

First, I wanted to thank everyone who has bared with me while I caught up on all my swaps/ratings. Finishing up the last few. If I owe you something, I'll be emailing you a tracking number to be safe.

Second, I want to thank everyone who has sent me items as they have brought me so much joy. It's been kind of yucky on my end since right after Christmas (I provide in home care for my grandmother; I hate to call it end of life but it is what it is. I was also about to get engaged when that abruptly and unexpectedly ended via email three days after Christmas. Yep, you read read that right!) and all of these envelopes (and the occasional PC!) have made me smile when I wanted nothing more than to cry.

So thank you ALL. You've changed a stranger's life without even knowing it.

Comment: Wow! Thanks so much Jen- you didn't need to be so insanely generous, but I'm loving it! The ATC is possibly the coolest I've gotten, you are so creative, it's awesome! And that "marker" card IS super creepy. Have you ever read the book "House of Leaves", if you want to never sleep again read that one. The typewritten letter is amazing too, I've got an old typewriter I'd love to use but every time my fingers slip off the keys and get trapped I between them and I end up bleeding- I joke it's possessed and wants blood. Anyway- super amazing swap, thanks so much! You are the best!

Comment: I have never rated anyone a 3 before and I hate to do it but on March 29th you sent me a message saying you were sending out my swap that day (even though it was 9 days past the deadline) because you had just realized you never sent it. I got your envelope today and it is post marked April 12th. Everything in it was really lovely and I do appreciate it but almost a month late and just about 2 weeks after you had already told me it was sent.....that's just not right. Sorry!
Response: Hezzie- I understand completely. I should have emailed you as soon as I realized that it would not be leaving the post office that day. There is no excuse in the least. I don't even have the excuse that it wasn't ready. I just never managed to make it to our post office when the window was actually open. I know now that this is probably not something for me to be involved in. I apologize again and I am so pleased you liked what was sent!

Response: Terri- Happy birthday once more! I'm glad you liked the ATC. It took awhile to get something that I actually liked! I'm so glad you liked the pendant! I didn't include a necklace for it because I was unsure of your tastes. I went with the beach theme as you mentioned you and your daughters don't get to visit there enough. This was actually my first time making that particular tyoe of piece. I used Judikin's Diamond Glaze to suspend the sand and shells in the larger shell. There are some alcohol inks in the lower layers to make it look like water and give the sand some depth. And even though Judinkin''s can be a final layer itself is still did two coats of an indoor/outdoor clear Krylon varnish. I can't tell you how much it means to me that you enjoyed your stuff. :)

Comment: Thank you for the card! :-) Here in southern Finland winter has been quite warm. Not much snow. It's a shame. :/ but on the other hand is nice that spring is early! It would be nice to exchange the postcards again! :-)
