i am married ( for 22 years, and yes to the same man!). i live in australia with two children .i am a born again christian. i am 44 and i work in a library and live in a small country town.
i like easy to listen to music, no one particular singer or group. i enjoy instrumental but not choral collections. i do enjoy christian music. regardless of what kind it is i dont like heavy rock or anything with swearing and blasphemy
i love historical and romance and family saga style books. i enjoy the odd biography and i couldnt live without my bible. :) i like mysteries but the suspense and horror give me nightmares so i cant read them!
my all time favourite movie is one that is as old as the hills. it goes back to my childhood with hayley mills in it. it was called "the trouble with angels." more recent movies would have to be 50 first dates, the notebook, message in a bottle and those style of movies. i dislike anything that is pornographic
i love watching MASH reruns, also enjoy shows like Frasier, not a big fan of reality TV shows. i dont watch a lot of TV but so long as it fits my moral standards i will give it a go. i like cooking shows and documentaries as well.
i enjoy most crafts - knitting, reading, card making, scrapbooking, cooking, letter writing, writing poetry and short essays.
i dislike anything that is solid red ( touches of red are ok), perfumed things as my family is allergic, witchcraft or mystic, eastern religion or new age stuff.
i love the colour purple, animals but especially butterflies and puppy dogs, food, chocolate ( but at the moment i am on a kick with my freind to see who can go the longest without eating chocolate!) love my family and friends and being creative. i love to share my faith with those who are interested. i love pretty paper and pens and just about anything connected with writing or my crafty addictions.
MY NUMBER THREE RATING as you can see i have a number three rating. this i feel was uncalled for.in my defence let me say that the partner i had didnt read all my story. it was a three page story swap. i sent three pages but my partner didnt turn over page one to see page two on the back!!! simple misunderstanding and we sent messages back and forth about it but she didnt change the rating. my story met the swap requirements and if you read down my feedback list you will see the comments made. anwyay, i am good for a swap. sometimes i may be late but i always PM and tell my partner what is going on. donot be afraid to swap with me, i am a good swapper and i enjoy making friends here on swap bot.

The Cocoon & the Butterfly
A man found a cocoon of a butterfly, that he brought home. One day a small opening appeared in the cocoon. He sat and watched the cocoon for several hours as the butterfly struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making progress. It appeared as if the butterfly had gotten as far as it could, and it could go no further. The man decided to help the butterfly in it's struggle. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon... and the butterfly emerged easily. As the butterfly emerged, the man was surprised. It had a swollen body and small, shrivelled wings. He continued to watch the butterfly expecting that, at any moment, the wings would dry out, enlarge and expand to support the swollen body. He knew that in time the body which would contract and the butterfly would be able to fly. But neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shrivelled wings. It never was able to fly. What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle were required for the butterfly to be able to fly. The butterfly must push it's way through the tiny opening to force the fluid from its body and wings. Only by struggling through the opening, can the butterfly's wings be ready for flight once it emerges from the cocoon. Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If God allowed us to go through our life without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been. And we could never fly.
