About Me

I'm an illustrator and maker living in Edinburgh, Scotland with my man and my kid, as well as three chickens, a cat I despise and a surprisingly large number of spiders.

Favorite Music

alternative/ indie stuff, swing and easy listening and anything else that makes me laugh.

Favorite Crafts

I go through phases... At the moment I'm mostly into knitting, brewing and spoon carving, but I have in the past been known to do large amounts of drawing, crochet, embroidery, sewing, bookbinding, spinning, and various paper crafts.

Favorite Television

Don't have a TV, but total Netflix addict - currently working my way through the Korean department

Stuff I like

  • Colours: teal, orange, red, green... umm... yellow? I kinda like a lot of them. Maybe not so much purple, but that can be good, too, if it's the right shade

  • Illustration and comics

  • Folklore and random knowledge

  • Singing - I'm in a choir

  • Stationery makes me happy, but I have too much of it.

Response: Thank you! I meant to include instructions, sorry if I missed them off. This explains it quite well: http://nuonis.com/how-to-make-a-one-page-zine/ It works for any size of paper (I used an A3 sheet), and you can have almost any number of pages; just fold it into an even number of columns, and any number of rows.

Comment: I LOVED YOUR ZINE! The envie is so pretty and small too, I'm saving it for sure. What kind of translucent paper did you use for the zine & where did you find it? I've been looking for that kind of paper forever but I don't know what it's called...
Response: Thank you, I'm glad you like it! The paper is tracing paper, mine came on a roll, but you can get it as sheets as well.
