Hello CJ! I am newbie at swap-bot and I'm already addicted!
I am Brazilian living in Alaska. Yes, it's possible Brazilian to survive in Alaska (lol) before i was living in Hawaii. It's a huge difference live in Brazil and Hawaii and then change to Alaska. Brazil and Hawaii it's very similar, nice weather, beaches, warm 365 days. Alaska the summer is short but I don't miss Hawaii at all.
I have two kids (14 ya and 3 ya) I am married with a wonderful husband and we both work with special education.
I love to be in home doing crafts. I love fabric, I am addicted to fabric :)
Portuguese is my first language, so I am sorry if my English is not very well spelled.
I am still learning the language. I will graduate next summer in Criminal Justice and I love to read mystery. My favors authors are James Patterson, Michael Connelly and Patricia Cornwell.
I loved to know a little bit about you and your family and I loved when you said "My family is amazing, and I wouldn't trade them for the world."
I think the same.
I love Glee also, and I make My own Cards and bookmarks and such but have kinda got away from it, need to destash my things, takes up to much room!

CJ, as far as learning new crafts, Google anything and you will have more information than you could possibly use. I am still researching authors, painters and specific crafts which I have never heard of before SB. Your creative life will expand with every swap.
