03.03.2017 ATTENTION: I noticed that MANY of my sent out parcels/letters in December, January and February haven't reached their destinations yet. For all of those who haven't received their swaps yet, please send me a message before you rate me. I'll be more than happy to re-send.
Hello! My name is Sasha and I'm new to swap-bot. I like the idea of this website as it's a nice way to get to know people.
I speak Arabic, English, German and I'm currently learning Russian and enjoying it so much, and I hope one day I'll have the time to learn Spanish and Dutch.
I have studied German as a Foreign Language (DaF) and currently work as a German teacher. I have 2 jobs which makes it hard sometimes to enjoy my hobbies, but I still manage my time very well.
Pen-palling is one of my newest hobbies and collecting postcards as well. I think it's always great to get to know people from other countries and cultures.
My list of favorite books could be a bit long, but for now, I would like to list these:
-Hardanger Embroidery is one of the most delightful things for me to do. I started learning at school and I fell in love with it ever since.
Who doesn't enjoy food! I personally love trying new things, but unfortunately, I'm allergic to some things, like wheat, eggs, strawberries, oranges, peaches, cocoa, peanuts, pistachios and coffee. Basically almost everything sweets are made of.
But who knows, maybe there's something out there I could enjoy.
I was lucky enough to receive a Double Bergamot Earl Grey Black Teat teabag through one of the tea swaps and it's the best tea I've ever tasted (Thank you Amberly).
UPDATE: although I'm allergic to coffee and chocolate, I started having them again in small portions.
Dislikes: please don't send me anything that contains alcohol.
It might take a while till you receive my postcards/letters. It usually takes up to 4-6 weeks (sometimes more). Please be patient :)
I'm not hard to please and everything I get by mail makes me really happy. Those things could make my day though:
tulips, hedgehogs, Matryoshkas, snowflakes, angels, Bonsai trees, Sakura, berries and blue butterflies.
And yeah, I LOVE stationary! I could never have enough pens or sticky-notes! Stickers and washi tape of course!
I started collecting postcards from following categories:
National Flag Postcards Cards I already have: Belguim, Canada, Austria, Australia and China
Map Postcards Cards I already have: The Netherlands, Ireland and New Zealand)
Map Postcards of the States of America Cards I already have: Oregon, Texas, Alaska and Vermont
Flags Postcards of the States of America Cards I already have: California
