Children's books are my favorite form of literature. I love to read and write poetry. Mary Oliver's poems, in my opinion, are glimpses into the mind of a genius. I enjoy books and articles about arts and crafts, and I get a kick out of the comic anthologies of Calvin and Hobbes, Peanuts, and Foxtrot.
I like papercrafting, especially if it involves doing something I've never done before. I was introduced to the world of miniature art in the form of inchies, twinchies and ATCs through Swap-bot and have had a lot of fun experimenting with techniques for creating these things. My favorite mediums are tissue paper and colored pencils. I'm an uptight artist, so I'm most comfortable working with materials that are easily controlled.

I love music! My house is never quiet and, I have to admit, I'm never quiet either. I have the annoying habit of singing in the car but try to keep it to a low hum when others are trapped inside with me. I play the accordion . . . the instrument from hell. My parents couldn't afford harp lessons. I also play the hammered dulcimer. This is not a dulcimer that likes to party. You actually hit it with little wooden hammers. I played "A" and "B" in an English handbell choir for several years. I quit when they threatened to move me to "C" and "D." I've always wanted to be a drummer and have officially added "Take Drum Lessons" to my bucket list.

Just wanted to send some
because you are a sweetheart.
Thanks so much for the cute little "toad abode" LOL The washi tape grass is perfect. And thanks for the very generous RAK of the alcohol inks and glossy paper. I will have a delightful time playing with them. The lunchbox was a blast from the past too (I had three brothers). It was a totally awesome box of goodies! <3<3<3
Thank you for the happy Sunday post on my profile. It brought a much-needed smile to my face!
