I live in a small house with a very furry beast named Coco. My apologies in advance for the single dog hair that will make its way into your swap no matter what I do to keep it out.
I'm a retired public-school educator. My favorite years were those working with first and second graders. I find six- and seven-year-olds to be funny, honest, loving and absolutely delightful. I miss the daily hugs and laughter.
In the past few years I've lost several people I love. The most recent was my dear SIL who died in May. She was a one-of-a-kind friend who always went out of her way to encourage me and make me believe I could do anything. She loved learning about the crafts I encountered on Swap-bot and was especially drawn to mail art, making beautiful envies, usually embellished calendar pages, to carry the countless cards and letters she sent to family and friends. Just logging in here reminds me of happy hours spent crafting together and fun conversations centering on the surprising art forms I was always discovering on the Bot. I will be forever grateful to this site for giving us that wonderful connection.
