I live in Colorado with a very hairy beast named Coco. My apologies in advance for that single dog hair that will make its way into your swap even though I've done everything humanly possible to keep it out.
I've fallen in love with Japanese seed beads. I like to weave them into bracelets and necklaces on kumihimo looms, sometimes throwing in other varieties of beads to give the jewelry sparkle or to add a bit of pop. I'm learning to make beaded beads and have mastered a few different beading stitches. I'm also in the early stages of experimenting with adding other materials (like PMC, wire, polymer clay, resin and paper) to my creations to make one-of-a-kind pieces.
I enjoy drawing and tend to lean more toward realism when using pencils and zentangled designs when working with pens.
I love mail art. It makes me happy to think of those little bits of art traveling through the postal system giving the people who handle the mail something unusual to look at.
My favorite thing in my craft room is my Gelli plate. I love playing with acrylic paint, experimenting with color combinations and finding interesting items around the house and in nature to serve as lift or resist tools.
