I have always loved snail mail! Especially postcards which is the main thing that I swap - naked, stamped and written please unless the swap calls for an envelope!
***Please contact me if you do not receive the swap before rating me! I will always send it so if you do not receive it, something went wrong with the post and i will do my best to fix it! Every now and then my illness gets in the way of me sending on time but I promise I will let you know ASAP if it will be a couple days late! ***
I am 32 years old and live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
I have had multiple chronic illnesses for the past four years that basically presented themselves overnight. Life is very challenging but I try to always hold on to hope and use mindfulness and humour to cope.
My husband is my best friend and biggest support. He teaches high school literature. We live in an old character home full of books and that brings us joy.
Life, for me, is all about connection. I love to learn about others and hear their stories. I'm a social worker and would love to recover my health and return to work someday.
THINGS I ENJOY SEEING ON POSTCARDS/MAIL:
-Photographs/art of people.
-Body positivity, queerness, feminism or human rights.
-Plants, flowers and gardening.
-Anything music related.
-The weird, unusual and/or dark.
-Anything quirky or whimsical.
-Indigenous art & culture.
-Bright and colourful things.
-Anything depicting culture of any kind.
-Crystals and stones.
-Texture and patterns.
-Literature, books and reading.
-Anything depicting coziness.
-Mid Century modern style.
-Profanity, wit, and dry & dark humour.
-Humour in general.
-Animals (especially dogs, bears, turtles, foxes, squirrels and deer).
THINGS I ENJOY HEARING ABOUT ON MAIL/POSTCARDS:
-Interesting things about where you live and anything about you or your life.
-Your Myers Briggs and Enneagram types (ENFP, Type 9w1 here!).
-Favourite quotes, music, movies and/or books.
-Your struggles and successes.
-Healthy, whole foods recipes that are celiac friendly.
-Anything about chronic illness if that applies to you.
-Correspondence with other bisexuals.
-Your views on any topic you feel like sharing about.
-Pink and light purple.
-Anything overly "frilly" or "princessy."
-Gluten (I have celiac disease).
-When people don't write a comment with their rating. People put a lot of heart into what they send (at least I do) and it doesn't take a lot of time to write a little comment about what you have recieved.
Honestly though, anything is appreciated. As long as someone completes the swap and puts some effort in, I'm grateful. Just seeing happy mail in my mailbox brightens my day.
Thank you all!
