Welcome to my profile - I am a social worker working for the Health Authority and after work, I live in a small farm just 10 minutes drive from the city center. Love it!! I have 3 adorable goats, a lamb, a pig, 2 dogs and chickens. We have wild life cruising through the property and co-exist fairly well. I have a project list a mile long. For this year, I am just starting to plant some vegetables indoors; browsing on line for hens that lay different coloured eggs; planning to restore the exterior of the old workshop with something rustic; plant trees around the pond; build a couple Hip Camp camp sites; And figure out if I can have some koi.
Things that energize me:
visual arts!! , kindness, architecture, ATC’s, antiques, drawings, printmaking, outdoors, quirky things, nature, travel (wide and far), spice! cooking, tea, snacks, food security, beer coasters from your area, community development, birds, mammals, social innovation, anything “Griffin,” history, literary fiction, linguistics, mental health, Fabio, hair metal bands, museums. I don’t get offended so feel free to send edgy stuff or nudes.
Things that don’t energize me but I do them anyway: doomscrolling, over-organizing, cleaning, cooking well even when I am tired. I enjoy new recipes, especially those with some heat.
I should build on TRAVEL: I have become addicted to getting away (not sure what that says about my psyche) since my first independent travel to Guatemala when I was 25. In those days, travel was much different without internet, smart phones or Trip Advisor. Since then, I have accumulated a lot of little star stickers that I adhere to my globe when I hit a new destination. Favorites have included Greenland, Japan, Varanasi, Iceland, Venezuela, Turkey and the Channel Islands. My last trip was to Belize and I am now realizing that I will be confined to Canada for some time if Covid policy has its way.
Wish List: Postcards - I like whacky ones, downtown innovation, vintage/antique, black and white, artsy, poetry, free cards, erotic, historic, famous people, galleries, etc Stereographs - collect these💗 ATCs Tea Socks Penpal letters - always interested in your hobby stuff, personality flaws, travels. Vintage or antique anything Old portraits. Seeds Real feathers found in nature Teeth, skulls Bookmarks Stationery Earrings - gawdy! Return address labels. Postage stamps - new or used Coins Low denomination paper money Ephemera
I don't care for cutesy/girlie things, child reward stickers or “manufactured-type” scrapbooking stuff. I am not religious but don’t mind beautiful religious symbols and architecture (just don’t try to sell me:-) But really, if I get something I cannot use, I just pass it on.
The best things I have ever received through swap-bot swaps are: a petrified clam, a feather from a great horned owl, an Egyptian bookmark, quills, a hand-made anti-racism booklet with illustrations. Thank-you!!!!
Happy swapping.

I had to leave the Cocoa swap, because I didn't have two different kinds, but I LOVE cocoa. Would you like to do a private swap?
Thank you so much for the great surprise! No one has ever sent me something in return for a swap. You really made my week with your kind gesture. I will pay it forward.
Hey my new swap is up if your still interested to go again http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/274825?new=1
