7/23: Working and living in Folsom, California now. So glad to be on my feet again. Am looking forward to swapping again. 6/25: I now own my very own HP Notebook with wireless internet access so I can go online anytime I want. Yeah! 6/15: Moving sooner than I thought. Cancelled my participation in upcoming swaps. My address is still good for mailing. If I've moved by then, the post office will forward. I'll be back online with you all in about a month (except for rating you). Thanks for your prayers.6/12: I've been offered a job in California so I will be moving soon. I'm signed up for only a few swaps so I'm sure I'll be able to handle them. Just to let you know, I still don't have my own computer so response time may be delayed. rest assured I will rate you and I will not be late in my swaps. Thanks for all your kind words and prayers in this difficult time. :) 5/11: I've cancelled my swaps . I'm sorry to those of you who signed up and were depending on me. I just can't handle all the stress I'm under at the moment. I'm depressed. I'm worried about the future. Unemployment is about to run out and will have to move from my house soon. Don't know where I'm going or where I'll be. 5/1: I've been working part-time for a couple weeks now. I'm in quality control at a graphics place. 3/16: I am still unemployed. The job as a caregiver didn't work out. 1/22: On the first day of an Obama Nation, I received a job offer as a Caregiver at an assisted-living facility. Great way to start the new year. Access to a computer is still limited. 6/20/08: Lost my job. Until I find a new job with internet access it will be extremely difficult to get online to manage my swaps. Be patient if I have not rated you. Hope to see you soon.
Update 12/17/08: still don't have a job but missed you guys so much I had to come back. Depressing as this is, I feel the need to reach out to my fellow artists, make some art and start getting some MAIL...
Avid visual journalist. Paper enthusiast. Also enjoy beading and journal quilts. Lately I've been painting, collaging and journaling on canvas.
Born in San Francisco. Love anything to do with the City by the Bay.The skyline, movies filmed there, street maps, Ghiradelli chocolate, the Japanese Tea Gardens, Chinatown, Golden Gate Park, the row houses, Golden Gate Bridge, etc.
My favourite colour is orange. I like Asian art, paper and atc's. I like dragonflies and pears in my art. And have recently started collecting penguins. I love dark chocolate and prefer coffee to tea.
I buy a lot of art books that relate to ATC's, altered books, vintage art, altered imagery and collage. I think it's time I write one of my own.
Please do me a favour...do not tailor make your atc's to fit my profile. I want to see what you like to do. You're one of the reasons I love to swap. You're art inspires me, okay? Thanks.
Bob Dylan, Lunasa, Loreena McKennitt, Tea Party, Leonard Cohen, Mozart. I just found "The Essential Leonard Cohen". These essential 2-disk collections are fantastic! I own Bob Dylan's and Bruce Springsteen's. Am thinking of buying Lynyrd Skynyrd's. It's the only way to go!
Earlier this year, for my birthday, I went to see Loreena McKennitt in concert. She was magalicious! Her voice and music is beyond compare. I've seen Lunasa twice and Bob Dylan once at the Key Arena in Seattle a couple years ago. Wow! When he sang "Like a Rolling Stone" during his encore I actually started to cry. Tea Party broke up over ten years ago but I love their stuff. I also enjoy Tool.
Bands I still love but don't listen to anymore: AC/DC, Metallica, Moody Blues, Steve Miller Band, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd
I have to amend the comment above: I love listening/dancing to AC/DC and own about 6 CD's and 1 DVD of them on tour. I also love Bruce Springsteen and just bought a whole slew of his stuff on CD. The Boss is Best!
Play It Again Sam, The Usual Suspects, When Harry Met Sally, You've Got Mail, French Kiss, Bridget Jones' Diary, U-571, The Stand, Titanic,Patriot Games, Forrest Gump, Big, Clinton & Nadine, Seven, Heat, Ronin,Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Good the Bad & the Ugly, The Mechanic, Harold and Maude, Pretty Woman, First Knight, American Beauty, Hard Rain, Green Card, Elizabeth
Project Runway, Survivor, Rescue Me, Top Chef, Saving Grace ,Law & Order Criminal Intent (I'm secretly in love with Vincent D'Onofrio), CBS Evening News with Katie Curic
ATC's, collage, beading, embroidery, quilting, painting. Anything I can do while watching TV. Crocheting afghans in winter.

Thank you again for the postcard! = )

You are the first profile I've read that has actually said, "Don't tailor make your ATC according to my profile." I totally agree...I like what I like as anyone, but it's great to see other people's talents, thoughts, and idea's. I wouldn't be a swapper if I only wanted to see stuff I like...Thanks, for adding that in there....
