Hi! I'm Taryn. My birthday is Christmas Eve, and I am an Environmental Science graduate from Ontario, Canada. I love my cats (Asha and Oreo) more than anything, as though they were my children.
I'm vegan and very strong supporter of animal rights. I volunteer my time at a local animal shelter and donate what I can afford. Animals are my life, mean the world to me, and I treat them as such. I've just started a Vegan Swappers Group, please join if you have similar interests!

I have about 50 hours worth of tattoos, a few facial piercings and stretched (5/8") earlobes - and despite all of this am often still asked by people what grade I'm in!
I'm a good balance between genres and styles. I'm practical but I'm silly. I'm girly but not prissy. I'm open, honest, not easily offended, and just very into being myself, living naturally, enjoying life, and doing what I want to do, taking life as it comes.
To get a better feel for my personality, read the sections below! I try to add things that I like/dislike as I think of them and spend more time on the site. If I'm your partner for a swap and want more information, just ask!
African countries, alphabetical order, animal rights, animals, Apple products, baking, board games, bubble tea, carefree autumn days, cake, cats, comic books, crocheting, cupcakes, dark chocolate, drive-in movies, driving too fast, the environment, Etsy, fruit, glitter, green (colour), green tea, Hello Kitty, hot apple cider, Japanese culture, kawaii, languages, lists, lolcats, LUSH, manicures, my cats, M.A.C cosmetics, my MacBook, marzipan, napping, Nintendo, organic food, owls, photographs, pink (colour), Plants vs Zombies, polka dots, postcards, roller coasters, science fiction, sea life, singing in the car, snail mail, snorkeling, squids, Starbucks, strawberry picking, sunshine, sushi, Tare-Panda, tattoos, tea, the ocean, vegan food, vegetables, watching my cat wash his face
The best way to get a feel for what kind of material goods I like is to check out my Etsy favorites!
adult situations, animal testing, exceptionally religious items, flying over water, folding clothes, HDTV, leather, purple (colour), spiders, tanning, the phrase "cash money", when people don't sweep the snow off their car before driving, whipped topping
I love to crochet! My Grandma taught me the basics when I was about 8 years old and I haven't stopped since. I am mostly self-taught, making up my own patterns as I go since I'm not very good at following others. My skill is relatively basic but I enjoy what I do and try to make it as cute as possible.
I also really enjoy taking photographs, some of which I have professionally printed and turned into postcards!
I sell both my crochet items and printed postcards on Etsy at http://ohdanger.etsy.com :)
I love to read, a leisure which was squashed during my time in University in "favor" of hours pouring over textbooks.
These days I read just about anything... I buy paperbacks at our local animal shelter's secondhand shop for a couple dollars each, usually fiction. I buy books about animal rights, environmentalism, and vegan lifestyle. I read mostly fiction/science fiction but enjoy chick-lit-type books every now and again for a short and fun read.
I keep track of what I read on my reading list; you can see it at here!
I honestly don't watch a lot of TV in general, but I often leave it on while I'm crocheting for something to do. During that time I enjoy the following shows: Ace of Cakes, ANTM, Cake Boss, Clone High, Dexter, Family Guy, Flight of the Conchords, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, LA Ink, Law & Order: SVU, The Price Is Right, Seinfeld, So You Think You Can Dance, Star Trek: TNG, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Wipeout
I will be trying my best to participate in swaps where it's not an issue, but in the event I do join one in which certain types of items are being sent, I would appreciate that those items sent to me are VEGAN. That is, no animal products - meat, dairy, eggs, honey, beeswax, silk, wool, pearls, etc. Thank you very, very much for your accommodation :)
I typically only have access to my snail mail once weekly, due to working out of town.
I have access to the internet daily, and will often be able to rate any electronic swap almost immediately.
As such, I will rate you as soon as I receive what you've sent! If it seems like it's been a particularly long wait, PLEASE message me, I may have overlooked you by accident (or maybe I never got what you sent!)
