Hello! I'm an American mum who just moved from England to Germany (with a US address). While in the UK, I spent most of my time with my little boy - walking into town, going to play dates and the library, and hanging out at home. While he napped, I drank tea, read, made crafts, and listened to podcasts. Now we are on a new adventure in Germany and I’ve recently given birth to a baby girl, so most of my time is focused on raising our children and exploring our new town. Check out my Pinterest boards (link above) for the easiest way to see what inspires me.
The Avett Brothers, Guster, Of Monsters and Men, Fun., Barenaked Ladies, Bon Iver, Counting Crows, Jack Johnson, The Beatles, Regina Spektor, Vance Joy, George Ezra, The Lumineers, The Oh Hellos, Joseph, Mumford and Sons, and Dispatch
All the Light We Cannot See (Anthony Doerr), We the Living (Ayn Rand), Cartwheeling in Thunderstorms (Katherine Rundell), classic Nancy Drew mysteries (Carolyn Keene), Bringing Up Bebe (Pamela Druckerman), Dad is Fat (Jim Gaffigan), and Bloomibility (Sharon Creech)
dollhouses, minizines, french braids, baby books, coffee, chocolate chip cookies, the U.S.A., exploring villages in England, floral patterns, glass jars, handwritten letters, vanilla ice cream sprinkled with honey + cinnamon + basil, letters cut from magazines, mango, the moon, pancakes with peanut butter + syrup, inspirational quotes, rain boots, rubber stamps, tea (english breakfast, gypsy rose, honeybush, mint, and rooibos), ukuleles, the beach, wooden toys, and the zoo
I love neutral colors: browns, grays, black, white, etc. My wardrobe and home decor is mostly neutral with touches of autumn colors (mustard yellow, burnt orange, rust red) and a few beautiful blues and greens. If you are making something specifically for me and are having a hard time choosing colors... choose colors that are "earthy."
Even though I live in Germany, I have a USA address (it's APO). It requires no additional postage, just several extra days of travel. The post office is at my husband's workplace and he only checks the mail Monday-Friday on his lunch break. I rate swaps as soon as I receive them.
Thank you for taking the time to send me a swap. x
