Alright, let's see...
I'm a 28 year old newly-qualified lawyer living in the North-ish of England.
I'm one of those people who's never happy unless they have too much going on. I work full-time, run a Cub Scout Group, attend Russian classes, volunteer for a legal advice agency and run my book review blog, whilst looking after my itsy Springer Spaniel and somehow managing to brush my hair every morning.
My main passion in life is reading, although I love learning new things and writing letters to my penpals as well. Books are my Thing though - if I had to choose one aspect that I consider Me, it would be reading.
My favourite book is Pride and Prejudice. I actually collect different editions and I currently have 77!
I've been co-running 'Ninja Book Swaps' for a few years now, so I was really excited to find a whole website with lots of different kinds of swaps! I'm looking forward to getting stuck in and swapping with you all!
Currently Reading: The Power by Naomi Alderman
This is always a tough question for me! I'll read anything - classics, YA, non-fiction, fantasy, horror, etc.
I'm particular into sci-fi/fantasy, and it's probably safe to say that I've read most of the major classics. I'm NOT into vampire-type YA or 'misery memoirs,' but other than that I'm good to go.
Here's a selection of my favourites:
The Hobbit, Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre, To Kill A Mockingbird, We Bought A Zoo, The Prestige, Harry Potter The Importance of Being Earnest.
Letters, Stationery, Writing paper, Washi tape, Decorative tape, Notecards, Halloween, frogs, owls, garden gnomes, classic books, Pride and Prejduice, Disney, vintage travel images, hedgehogs, foxes, postcards.
My favourite thing is writing paper with matching envelopes :)
I'm currently learning Russian, Spanish and German, so I'd love souveniers from those countries, especially those with text on!
Oh, and I know this is weird, but I love anatomy or medical images. I'm a medical lawyer, for the record, so it's not THAT strange!
I don't like nuts, coffee or lavendar. Or fairies.
I don't use bookmarks, despite hammering on about how much I love books, as I like to keep the receipt inside the book and use that. It means I can see exactly how long it's taken me to get round to reading it!
Oh, and I'm scared of fish. Yeah, I know.
I like my postcards to be stamped and written on, unless the swap specifies otherwise. I'd also love it if you could write a date and your country, unless it's obvious from the postcard. I like a nice handwritten message too, but then who doesn't :)
I love vintage travel images, tourist views (but I do like them to say the place name on the front), map cards, photographs of animals, books, black and white photographs, garden gnomes, and... most other things, but those are my favourites.
I'm not so keen on cartoons or ad cards, really.
