i just noticed something, you birthday is jan 17. my mom's was jan. 19th. when i was reading your profile you sound a lot like her. your beliefs, convictions, strength, courage, etc. i miss her so much and i'm so glad i had her for a mom. she taught me so very very much about life and compassion and courage.
Robin, I have you as a partner for the quilties...i'm excited and working on something i hope you'll like.
my mom wrote a lot of little affirmations for herself. she suffered with lupus and sjogrens disease and was later diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and passed away in 2001. but one of my most favorite things she wrote is:
"it is impossible to appreciate the beauty of the sunrise without first waiting through the darkness". i know that you have a beautiful sunrise in your future. so this darkness will only be temporary. i'd love to penpal with you. i'm spiritual too and am re-discovering myself over and over again as i age. i'm 51 now and feel in the best years of my life.
best wishes.

Wow - she's great (dotee)! That's a very clever way to make Harriet Tubman - with the Civil War era prints, and the head wrap! Very recognizable and attractive. I will treasure her. My first dotee!
