About Me

An eclectic crafter, mother of one beautiful daughter. I teach 7th grade Geography in English at a private Catholic school. I love to craft/create, cook, garden, listen to music, dance, walk, read and swap! :)

Favorite Crafts

~ Since my taste is eclectic, I am as much in love with all sorts of paper, ephemera, printables, journaling cards, etc. as I am with fabric, buttons, trims, felt, yarn, thread and all sorts of sewing notions. Paint, watercolors, stamps, washi tape, you name it! I love it all and try them all as often as I can. I wish were I live there was a Michaels, JoAn's, Tuesday Morning, ACMoore and the like, but no such luck :(

    • I am in love with felt and use it a lot in my crafts
    • I really enjoy embroidering and cross stitching

Comment: On April 9, which was a day after the mailing deadline, you told me that you had my package ready to go but were out of town and would mail it when you got back to town. It has been more than 20 days since then and you've signed up and been rated for other swaps though I haven't heard anything else from you. Response: I am terribly sorry to hear you did not get my envie. Indeed, we have had a very difficult month as my mother in law died unexpectedly and we were away for a couple of weeks. During that time I asked a co-worker to go into my studio to mail some envies for me - she claims she did it :( To top things off for more than 2 weeks I suffered from an intense bout of vertigo that had me flat on my back, out of work and unable to drive. Today is the first day I feel somewhat better and I drove to the post office to resend your swap envie, I do hope you get it soon but keep in mind I am mailing from Mexico :( Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Comment: I especially like the education one! Art, music, dance, etc. are all so important and yet they are kept for the well-off... Such a shame! One day I think education will be free for all and fit to meet people's needs!

image Easy Profile Comment #3 Hola, I enjoyed reading your profile. Under books you listed Robert Fulgrum. I loved his book, "Everything I Need to Know I learned in Kindergarten?" I love his writing style. I haven't heard his name used in a long while. I have 2 grown sons and always wanted a little girl. Perhaps I'll be blessed with a granddaughter:-) I have enjoyed being on Swapbot and meeting friends from all around the world such as yourself. Spring is sprung here but still a week of cool temps. I am in my last semester of being a preschool teacher, I love teaching. I think it's one of the best jobs out there! I think Mitch Albom is a great author, my favourite book is "Tuesdays with Morrie," it made me cry!
