I mark as send when I drop off my mail at the big red boxes at the end of my street (usually on the weekends) and they get postmarked when they eventually make their way to the post office and the workers get around to it. A lot slips by though and I'm always getting mail with 0 postmarkings so I'm guessing it's the same with mail I send to others.
Hi, I'm a huge lover of kawaii things and I love crafting! I used to be really into making amigurumi and am trying to destash them in my etsy shop.
Lately I've been into the idea of creating a vintage/Victorian/steampunk junk journal. (Without spending any more money)
As an etsy seller I have a lot of shipping supplies in bulk so I thought swap-bot would be perfect for me! I know I'm a newbie with only a few swaps complete, but I've shipped hundreds of packets on Etsy so I know my way around Canada Post.
Right now my latest obsession is kawaii memo notepad papers!
Swaps you'll probably find me at are type 2, most likely tea swaps (I love to drink tea!) And flat surprise swaps due to the flexibility.
And in Canada there is a big price different in postage between under 2 cm (document) and thicker than that is parcel which costs $$$
I am an extreme cheapskate. I will reuse packaging and I am not offended if I receive clearly reused bubble mailers which have been taped over with deco tape and have mailing labels slapped on top of old mailing labels.
I don't go out and spend money for a swap, I just use what I have available. At the thrift store I stumbled upon a box of 20 notecards with envelopes for $1.99 so I'll be using those!
Also, I'm really big on giving extras, simply because I have a lot of stuff lying around that I don't like or use but are good quality and totally usable so I can't throw away XD. I always read my partner's profile a couple of times to match up something I have in my hoard that I think they'll like.
My swaps tend to be quantity over quality in that anything I have sent, I have had lying around that I wasn't using or planning to use so I can afford to give more than the minimum requirements. I've listed things I'm looking to get rid of below, and if you see anything that interests you feel free to send me a message.
Also, if the swap calls for a notecard, please give me a blank one and just slap a sticky note in it with your swap name and user ID.
I have no allergies.
In terms of tea, I'm good with anything as long as it doesn't have lemongrass. Right now I'm really into black teas and my favourite is darjeeling but I'm totally down to try new things!
In terms of kawaii these are my favourite characters:
-Little Fairy Tale
-Any foods with faces
In terms of washi tape, I'm really looking for kawaii san-x character tape (I saw this sentimental circus one that said "for you" and I was dying)
And also vintage style/Victorian/steampunk/shabby/postmarked washi tapes!
POSTCARDS I like postcards of scenery, like cafes, bakeries, streets, snapshots etc... And pretty ones that look painted. I do not like pin-up girls, burlesque, or tacky postcards.
I'm looking for kawaii stuff in general
-Kawaii memo paper
-Kawaii washi or deco tape
-Would also really love empty rement boxes!
-Kawaii wooden pencils
-Kawaii resin pieces
-Just starting to get into junk journelling, maybe some vintage ephemera
-Vintage looking paper (see images below)
-vintage/steampunk style fabric (scraps are okay)
-Metal Charms (leaves, feathers, gears, clocks, birdcages, dragonflies etc)
-Buttons in cute shapes (hearts, stars, flowers)
-Rubber/clear stamps with airmail themes or rustic, vintage kind of theme
-MT BRAND WASHI TAPE!!!
PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME I have no use for these items! Please try to avoid these, but if I do get them it's no big deal because I'll just regift them as extras.
-Beauty products (eg hand cream, body lotion)
In terms of stationary, I'm only interested in kawaii and these are what I dislike
-non kawaii stationery
-Stationery with photographs of real food/animals/people
