My sendsomething.net profile
acrylic painting; my usual style involves heavily diluting the paint so the results look a lot like watercolours:
poetry; I'm influenced by modern and contemporary Canadian poetry, surrealism, language poetry, and the "undifferentiated mass" of poetry by 20-something American poets with eyesore webzines.
birds (owls, pelicans, crows and magpies)
ocean (jellies, sea stars, algae)
space (stars, nebulae, planets and moons)
fantasy and science fiction (original or myth-based)
extinct animals (stegosaurus, dimetrodon, pterodactyl)
cities (skylines, signs, cities at night)
blue, turquoise, neon green & black, purple & black, pink & brown
tea (must be in package):

contemporary art, including collage/mixed media, installation art, performance art, relational art projects, painting. I have no training in this subject, and I have no ambitions to be an artist myself, but I've worked in an artist-run centre as a writing student.
poetry, especially modern, postmodern and avant-garde American and Canadian poetry and Canadian nature poetry/ecopoetry. However, I like most poetry, including some that rhymes.
biology, especially evolutionary theory, ecology (aquatic, terrestrial and marine), and environmental conservation.
pop music; I have terrible taste and listen to hypem.com constantly. Hip-hop, techno, bubblegum, indie rock. I'm in a music video for Tegan and Sara, and I've been to multiple concerts by them as well as by Wilco and Hawksley Workman. But mostly I listen to electronic music.
manga and comics, my respective favourites being Sailor Moon and Saga. I also like Kuromi and other cute Japanese and Korean stationery characters.
