Hallo, My name is Neeltje. I am an Arts&Crafts teacher. I love to make textile art. My biggest pleasure is to create things and spreading them around the world. Love to get inspired by other creative people.
As an Arts&Crafts teacher I like all kinds of Crafts. My favourite however is making textile art on my sewingmachine. I sort of developed my own style and it has no name. Some people refer to it as crazy quilting and it has some resemblance with that. However, for quilting I don't have enough patience. I just like to put colorful fabric to a background and let it happen.
So, I like to sew, knit, crochet, collage, origami, macramé and zentangle.
All the colors of the world are wonderful. I love them all. It's thrilling to go out into nature and discover the most excuisite combinations. If you look closely you can see so many wonderful things, even in a raindrop. I am a big admirer of design-seeds.com
Here are some things I love, amongst many other things, in no particular order. If I come up with something I'll add it to the list.

Please don't send fabric. My stash is so big, I could cover my whole country and still have scraps left. The only fabric I am looking for right now is cat fabric. Not the fabric your cat has been lying on, but fabric with cats on it. If you are looking for fabric, I am more than happy to send you some.
There are many books I like. Historic novels, modern literature, thrillers. I enjoyed The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson but also Labyrinth by Kate Mosse. Carlos Ruiz Zafon, Isabel Allende and Paul Theroux, and many many others.6-1-2017 Just read I am Pilgrim by Terry Hayes, couldn't stop reading. In 2019 the book that moved me most was A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara. 2020 so far: The eight life (for Brilka): Nino Haratischvili and, finally, Alone in Berlin by Hans Fallada.
My taste in music is very divers. It goes from Pop to Opera. Whenever I hear something interesting I try to find out more and put it on my favorites on Spotify. If my hart makes a little jump when I hear the song again, it stays on my list.

Thank you for the wonderful package I received from you. So much misc stuff I can use. I love doing 5d painting too and I have tons of extra beads. I’ll have to make something with them like you did. Thank you very much. 😀
Thank you for the amazing RAK! It made me so happy to see it in my mailbox. I tried making an ATC with fabric once, but never had the stash to try making more. I am inspired to now! I am amazed by all the ephemera and the Japanese map is a treasure (I might have to frame it instead of using it for art). I was also pleased to see a bit of your art in the package and the wonderful envelope you made.
I recieved the RAK-sharing from you yesterday and WOW! You sent me so much and it was all so beautiful ❤️ I’m in a rough period in life right now and to get this RAK was so great. I cried when opening it, of joy that is. Everything was so nicely done and you put so much effort in it so it would fit me, and it sure did ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for Sharing RAK. I was smiling before I even opened the envelope. You did the outside really cute. Then when I looked inside you had made it just as cute. So much that I enjoyed looking through it as much I think as I'm going to have using it. It was a nice addition to have your note where you gave me some ideas. I found the little stars you made and thought that they were cool, now I know to look on YouTube to see how I can make some too. I really felt like it was my birthday 🎈. Thanks again 😊 Suzanne
What a wonderful RAK! I love your collaged envelope and the many things you stuffed inside. I just keep going through everything and deciding how I will use them. The buttons are great...I don't recall seeing square ones before. This little handmade box filled with buttons, tiny rubber stamps and tiles with the letters of my name is just perfect. Thank you so much for this lovely surprise. I will enjoy thinking of you when I use all of these goodies in my projects!
Thank you for the wonderful envelope that arrived this morning! It was an absolute delight to receive and I spent a long time happily looking at everything and making plans for how to use it. You've definitely inspired me and I'm just very grateful for your kindness and generosity. Going through the envelope gave me so many ideas -- a kickstart to my creativity! Thank you again.

What a wonderfully kind and generous person you are. My package arrived and I find it hard to believe how much of the contents are exactly what suit me and my style. I will spend many hours creating with the ephemera and also adding to my journals. You really have made my day.
