My husband and I have been married for 30 years. We have three children and 7 beautiful grandchildren, including a set of identical twins! I have been knitting and crocheting since I was a child. I have just started quilting again after a very long break. I also love gardening. We grow a huge vegetable garden every year and I also do quite a bit of canning and pickling. We live in the country and raise chickens, turkeys and ducks. We also have 2 little Maltese dogs, Buddy and Lacie, and a Himmydoll cat Abbie (half Himalayan, half Ragdoll).
mostly country.....a bit of pop and easy-listening
don't watch too many movies, but love tear-jerkers
CSI, Law & Order, Amazing Race, Survivor, American Idol, House, Grey's Anatomy, Dancing With the Stars, Hoarders
Right now my favorite craft is quilting, but I also like knitting, crocheting, and cross-stitch. I usually always have a pair of socks on my knitting needles, and at least a half-dozen quilting projects in various stages of completion. My favorite quilts to make are scrappy quilts and string quillts. Anyone sending me their extra scraps will be rewarded with a heart for sure! I can use scraps as small as 2" X 2". Your trash is my treasure!
Some things that I like are postcards from your area of the world, tea, coffee, candy (especially sour candy), notecards, pens, pencils, fridge magnets, candles, fabric (especially 1930's prints), sock yarn, pin cushions, aprons, flower/vegetable seeds. My favorite flavors/scents are vanilla, orange, and peach. My favorite colors are purple, pink, blue, and hunter green.
Some things I dislike are: religious items, dotee dolls, kawaii, anything to do with vampires, anything watermelon flavoured, not overly fond of batik fabric, but will use small amounts for string quilts.
