My first shot at a profile description!

I'm in my early 30s, married happily to a great man. My B.A. is in English and psychology, hoping to finish my master's thesis in English soon.

I love to read, walk (when it's not too hot, which is rare where I live), and cook (especially soup!). I love to be outside, under the trees, walking along a river, looking for seaglass and shells.

I take a lot of photos and enjoy paper crafts - cards, mail art, scrapbooking. I've also started doing a little bit of beaded jewelry. I enjoy sewing simple quilts, but nothing too complicated! I took a book making class this semester and that is a new hobby.

When it comes to artsy swaps, I just love to see what other people come up with - I'm always amazed at how others think of things that would never occur to me.

I have a large tea collection - too large, probably! I love Tazo's JOY tea and PG Tips DCaf, as well as jasmine, peppermint, and some white teas. I'm always up to trying new flavors. Mighty Leaf Vanilla Bean and Orange Dulce are also favorites.

I can't handle most scented things because of allergies.

I enjoy thrift shops and garage sales and am into funky vintage things. I collect vintage South Dakota souvenirs (postcards, plates, hankies, etc.) and vintage fabric in general. I've also started collecting vintage children's books (50s - 70s), mostly because the illustrations are so fun.

I really like floral themes, black and white photos, nature stuff, shabby chic, trees, old stuff. I love earth tones, but also like turquoise, pink, black, green, metallics...I also like India themed items, vintage, childhood, Scandinavian, food, maps, travel...and the list goes on!

I usually listen to Byzantine chant, but I also like 60s/70s, some classic rock, some contemporary, acoustic, folk, Celtic, and soundtracks.

Lost, The Office, PBS, ER. I don't have cable, or I would watch the Food Network all day!
