I've always loved making stuff, but after I graduated from uni I've pretty much become obsessed. I saw a pair of crocheted slippers in Topshop and thought 'I could make them myself'. So I taught myself to crochet and that was the start. I have a list of stuff I want to make in my diary, but I'm always looking for a little more craftification!
I still love crocheting, but I'm also into knitting (not surprisingly), and all kinds of sewing. I've been doing a dressmaking class for the last few months, which I'm loving.
I hate throwing anything away, and am always looking at how I can recycle things, especially fabric. I'd always rather fix something or make it into something else rather than throw it away. I'd almost always rather make something myself than buy it, and if I can make it out of somehthing that would otherwise go in the bin then even better!
I love anything that's cute and kawaii, and anything practical - I don't have a lot of ornaments or decoration in my home, but if something looks cute and also serves a purpose then I love it!
I'm loving postcard swaps just now because they're usually open to newbies :) and shopping for local postcards is reminding me what a fantastic city I live in.
Note: I might sometimes put things I've made on my blog before I send them out, so if you're waiting for something from me don't look until you've received it!
