Oh my goodness, I KNOW what you mean about Altered Books! I've seen some beautiful ones but to actually do one myself? No, I can't bring myself to do it! I have adored books since I was a little girl. They are such a treasure to me. Even if I don't read it! LOL! Crazy, I know. Today I bought a large, meaning like 11x17 or bigger, book about poster art at our library book sale with the intention of "trying" to use the pages for large handmade envelopes....but I don't know if I can actually TEAR the pages out of the book!!!! It's not a book I want or would look through more than once, but to destroy it? Ugh, not sure how that's gonna turn out. But the pages would make relly cool envelopes... ;~)
I just tape them to something so they don't roam around the envie causing problems. I have had them sent without such measures taken and they arrived just fine.
