i finished art school this past spring. it was a lot of fun and a lot of hard work. right now i am currently in love with the following things:

• felt
• stationary
• pinatas
• the color green
• stewardesses (circa 1960's braniff babes!)
• the warriors
• the bernie mac show
• dance parties
• dexter
• fox
• hearts
• straws
• animals doing people things
• strawberries and apples
• animal crossing
• bright colored eyeshadows and MAC
• bright pink lips

the things i love are what inspires me the most. espicially in my work!

i was born and raised in maine and it was the only place i'd lived up until this past july. my boyfriend and i moved to green bay, wisconsin. we were only there for a few months before we moved on to oregon! and i'm glad we did because i missed all the hills and trees and most of all, the ocean! i think we'll be here for quite some time.

however, i really miss my friends because we always had dance parties and drank PBR tall boys out of straws.

i pretty much like anything that i can dance to and i really love hearing new music.

the only things i'm not too crazy about are emo, ska, female solo artists (tori amos, etc), folk and country.

i really love making small, handmade items featuring my own illustrtaions. i'm currently all about using felt and making mini hand drawn/painted stickers. i have lots of old felt in beautiful colors that my mom gave me.

so yeah, i like to make things with felt, crochet, make gocco prints and illustrations.

seriously though, do you guys even know how funny bernie mac's show was?

one time my friend had a party and she bought some plastic tambourines and maracas. we danced all night and played the tambourines so hard that all the little metal pieces flew off.

it was maybe one of the best times i've ever had.

i have a lot of old science and text books that i really love. some are in other languages and i can't read them but they have the most beautiful illustrations.

i also really love children's books, for the same reason. there are some really exceptional illustrations.

i'm crazy about color. if i had to pick one skill that i gained while in art school it would be a deep understanding of color and . i work really hard to make color work in everything that i do, make, design.

nothing gets me like a well thought out color palette.

it's weird to list things i don't like, but ok:

chocolate, heavily scented things, country/folk style art, monkeys, clowns...
