I'm not artistic or crafty but I appreciate and admire the work of others. My children are grown and I'm reaching "mature" age. I have 6 grandchildren.
live in Virginia, but I have traveled and I love postcards from other places. Love to read genre fiction. wear a size 11 shoe (for sock swaps)

Preferences

I like swapping bookmarks and postcards and other small items. I appreciate humorous references to the passing years, like the Maxine greeting cards. Not into ATCs or scrapbooking. I LOVE scented candles! Favorite colors: different shades of red, warm brown. NO food or beverage items please.

Love Swap-bot!

I've been a swap bot member since Dec 2008 and it has been a great experience for the most part. But recently there's been an incident that makes me feel I need to add this note.

I strive to fulfill the expectations of each swap I enter. If you don't feel that I have complied, please send me a DM and I'll try to work it out with you. I NEVER 'expect' a heart. It's pleasant to get one but I do this for the fun of swapping.

By the same token, I give out Hearts when I feel especially heartened (pun intended! grin) by the gift. Giving you a five means that I appreciated your gift and I was happy to receive it. PLEASE don't question my reasons for not giving you a heart! My reasons are my own and do not reflect on you or your offering. According to the rules of Swap-bot, no one can EXPECT a heart.

I love swap-bot and hope this won't keep me out of any swaps.

Comment: Frankly, I don't penalize people for being a little late. The "winner" prompt made me smile because I just wrote a short story called "The Winner" from a different swap-bot prompt. I'll send it to you. I'm doing NaNoWriMo and doing have an extra short story in my right now.

Comment: What a FANTASTIC package!!! First off, what an awesome surprise to discover that my partner was a "real live" (published) author!!! :) And everything you sent was so thoughtful!! Especially love the bag of writing prompts. The candles smell amazing, and I love all the RWA freebies! Unfortunately, I can't get the CD to work on my computer... it just brings up a bunch of code, and a dialogue box pops up saying I've exceeded my page limit?? I'm going to try it again on a friend's computer, mine's pretty ancient! No worries though, thanks to your package, I'll have plenty to keep me busy (and inspired!) for a long time! Thanks so much, Andrea!!! :)
