If you are missing a rating from me, please let me know! I tend to wait a long time just in case something gets lost in the mail, and sometimes time gets away from me. Please feel free to send me a message if you think I should have gotten something by now!
I used to swap/pen pal a lot when I was younger and am still addicted to receiving and sending mail. July 2016: I have not swapped in a lot time and am just getting back into it! I have updated my profile, sent out my first swap, and I am ready to go!
I love my dog, Winifred, the best, though there's a total of 4 dogs in the house. (Allergy notice for anyone wanting to swap with me: we are a non-smoking household but we have dogs--no cats, and no other pets.) I LOVE the San Jose Sharks & #16, Devin Setoguchi, is still my favorite (I don't care that he was traded years ago).
I'm a picture hoarder. I "collect" photos (of everything, especially crafts!) and graphics from online as inspiration and take tons of photos myself. I have a Nikon I'm going to marry someday. My favorite subjects to photograph are clouds, cemeteries and my dogs, though if you hand me a camera expect me to transform into the paparazzi--I'll take photos of just about anything (except people...groups of people make me nervous & I refuse to be "the photographer" at parties, even family functions!).
I write a LOT--which explains my love of writing supplies. The start of a new school year still gets me excited to stock up on notebooks and pens. I have tons of journals, stationery & cards.
I don't act my age at all--in fact, many times I act like I'm in high school. It makes life fun.
I just started a bucket list and have already checked a couple of things off on it. With that said, I am the World's Greatest Procrastinator.
I do a little bit of everything! And am willing to try almost any craft at least once. I know I haven't listed everything here
Reading is a big part of my identity, just like crafting.
I'm a huge fan of anything post apocalyptic and dystopian. I love those Amish books that aren't really Christian novels but almost could be, as well as the Christian ones, and the Mail Order Bride books of the same kind (not the Harlequin romance novel type ones but the same kind as the Amish ones, they're a bit more innocent). And lots and lots of YA.
Favorite authors: Jane Austen, Carrie Ryan
Even though these don't qualify as "books" I'm throwing this into the mix anyways: I love those journals you get where you have to fill something out--Gratitude journals, "Wreck this Journal," lists, ect.
I've been sorted to Hufflepuff (though I am borderline Ravenclaw & both houses make me happy). The Goblet of Fire is my favorite book from the series, as well as my favorite movie.
I'll watch anything with John Cusack, Colin Firth or Sandra Bullock in it. I do love romantic comedy, chick flick type things. I cannot help myself.
NCIS and Bones when I catch them--I enjoy them, but I don't need to see every episode.
I think I'm giving up on Orange is the New Black--I've heard this season is extra violent and I can only stomach so much sex/violence/gore/etc. I haven't decided if I'm going to watch the new season of Sleepy Hollow--what happened at the end of season 3!?!
Colors: Black, red, blue, grey, maroon
Style: My wardrobe leans on the darker side of things, leaning punk/edgy without going over the edge
Flowers: Think Regency/Jane Austen simplified kind of flowers/lace/style rather than a more flower/girly Victorian/Marie Antoinette
Jewelry: SPARKLES! I'm more of a rhinestone girl than a pearl girl.
I love metallic/rhinestones/holographic stuff. I don't mind my earrings or necklaces sparkling in the sun (as long as it doesn't blind other drivers!)
With that being said, my current favorite color is "rainbow." Yeah, I know.
I have several collections (I collect collections!)
I suffer from migraines--please don't send scented items, perfume samples/perfumed papers, strong floral scents, musks or vanilla scented items. I (and my migraines) appreciate it!
If we are swapping and you are allergic to something, please let me know! My household is non-smoking but we have 4 dogs (no cats--my sister is a bit allergic to cats but not dogs, but that doesn't mean she won't pet them and cuddle them!).
