I just discovered this site through a group on Flickr and I'm way excited about it! I used to swap/pen pal a lot when I was younger and am still addicted to receiving and sending mail.
I love my dog, Winifred, the best, though there's a total of 4 dogs in the house. A lot of people have labeled me weird because what I like is so random and it's taken me this long to like the fact that I'm a geek.
I LOVE the San Jose Sharks & #16, Devin Setoguchi, is my favorite. I'm a relative newcomer to it so I don't yet understand statistics.
I'm a picture whore. I "collect" photos and graphics from online as inspiration and take tons of photos myself. I have a Nikon D40 I'm going to marry someday. My favorite subjects to photograph are clouds, cemeteries and my dogs, though if you hand me a camera expect me to transform into the paparazzi--I'll take photos of just about anything.
I'm an aspiring author and write a LOT--which explains my love of writing supplies. The start of a new school year still gets me excited to stock up on notebooks and pens. I have tons of journals, stationery & cards.
I don't act my age at all--in fact, many times I act like I'm in high school. It makes life fun.
I just started a bucket list and have already checked a couple of things off on it. With that said, I am the World's Greatest Procrastinator.
I'm grown up enough to admit my favorite band is the Backstreet Boys, though other favorites include Frank Sinatra, 3 Doors Down, Simple Plan, Micheal Buble, Elvis, Boys Like Girls, John Mayer, Jon McLaughlin, Matchbox Twenty, Chris Tomlin & Casting Crowns.
I love Christian music, some country, and a lot of adult-contemporary.
Pride & Prejudice and Persuasion by Jane Austen, The Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers, Harry Potter series by JK Rowling, I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith, Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls, 1984 by George Orwell, Brave New World by Aldous Huxley.
Favorite authors: Jane Austen, Meg Cabot
Even though these don't qualify as "books" I'm throwing this into the mix anyways: I love those journals you get where you have to fill something out--Gratitude journals, "Wreck this Journal," lists, ect.
I'm too old to attend Hogwart's I'm still in Ravenclaw! The Goblet of Fire is my favorite book from the series, as well as my favorite movie thus far. I loved Cedric Diggory before the whole Edward/Twilight thing (which was written poorly yet I read anyways).
Serenity, You've Got Mail, While You Were Sleeping, Cinderfella, Stardust, Enchanted, Ella Enchanted, 10 Things I Hate About You, The Red Curtain Trilogy, The Slipper and the Rose, Say Anything, Penelope, Kate & Leopold, The Little Permaid, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, Mary Poppins, Dirty Dancing, Cant' Hardly Wait, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Harry Potter, The 10th Kingdom, Pride & Prejudice (A&E Version), The Princess Bride
I'll watch anything with Seth Green, John Cusack, Colin Firth, Devon Sawa or Sandra Bullock in it. I do love romantic comedy, chick flick type things. I cannot help myself.
Firefly, The Big Bang Theory, Buffy, Angel, Bones, The Office, NCIS, How I Met Your Mother, Invader Zim, Kim Possible, Monarch of the Glen
I've recently begun watching General Hospital. I cannot...help...myself...
Old favorites: Clarissa Explains It All, Sabrina The Teenage Witch, Rugrats, Muppet Babies, Doug, Full House, and just about any old Nickelodeon programs.
Lotions, candles (me & fire are not a good idea!), discussing politics, religion (including Catholicism, Wicca/Witchcraft), horror movies, blood & guts, zombies, freaky looking skulls, Day of the Dead, '70s psychedelic, coffee (flavor or scent), smoking/smell of smoke, Hello Kitty, Scary Halloween stuff
I don't mind swapping Christian related items/Bible verses/lyrics, etc (no images of Jesus or Saints--I don't relate to the Catholic faith) but discussing other religions make me uncomfortable unless I know the other person well--this is just fodder for insensitivity and arguments on the Internet for anyone of ANY faith.
I'm a crafter, which automatically makes me a bit of a hoarder. You never know what you'll need until you need it! I'm constantly working on some sort of project, whether it falls into one of the aforementioned categories or not, and am willing to try almost anything at least once! "Micheal's" is my best friend (especially their 50% off coupons).
Resin, making jewelry, polymer clay, crocheting, new to scrapbooking.
To wear: Black, red, blue, grey, maroon. My wardrobe leans on the darker side of things.
Nailpolish: Black, blue, teal. Anything but pink. (My toenails are all different colors...I call my masterpiece "Skittle toes")
In general: "Princess Blue" (a light, baby blue with a pearlescent shine to it), black, red
I have a tattoo of the White Star Line flag that represents my love of the Titanic (the ship, not the movie!). I have gathered items pertaining to & love a ton of different things-- Designer Vinyl toys, Treesons, Blythes, things that sparkle, rhinestones, English Victorian things, Japan, origami, Jane Austen, mushrooms, cupcakes, fashion with a small punk edge, cute gnomes, books, Christmas, owls, Cinderella (not just Disney!), deer, glitter, the color blue, '50s retro, cute socks, Invader Zim, Big Ben, the Eiffel Tower, vintage photographs, Frank Sinatra, Audrey Hepburn, Elvis, England, stationery & writing supplies, thrift shopping, Wicked and most currently bright colors such as orange and rainbow striped bed quilts.
Specifically I'm out to collect The Slipper & The Rose movie memorabilia, Treesons, Cinderella & Harry Potter. My main collection is Titanic memorabilia (I collect mostly the ship, though since the movie came out I do have quite a bit of movie items in my collection now.
I also "collect" things on the computer, like inspiring photographs or graphics. I used to make those little animated name .gifs and I love the pixelized animations.
*Glitter
*Return address labels (I'm fresh out!)
*Anything to do with the San Jose Sharks (hockey). My favorite player is Devin Setoguchi #16, but I also like Vlasic & Marleau
*Records to play on my Record Player. Currently I own three: The soundtrack to The Slipper & the Rose, Dolly Parton & Justin Timberlake's single "SexyBack" (because I thought it was funny.)
