Hi, Shirley! Thank you so much for the mom and baby rhinos and for the postcard of your town for the AN September WTA. I had no idea that's where Pepsi originated. And, I didn't know rhino babies were called calves. I love picking up little bits of trivia like that along the way. Hugs! 😘
Congratulations on winning the Sep Bingo Game!! I won it previously so I was glad to see someone else winning although of course I would have called Bingo had my last city been called :-) I enjoy the Bingo games so much and wish more people would participate because I know Jenny tries so hard for the Group. Congrats again ~~
Thank you for the two North Carolina postcards that you sent to me as part of the WTA Postcards - July 2016 from Postcards from Around the World! I love them!
Hi, Shirley
I didn't have a lighthouse postcard to send you in my state, but this is one I visited last week (it's on the Washington side of the Columbia River, so it wouldn't have counted as my state anyway).
The lighthouse is located in Cape Disappointment, north of Ilwaco, Washington. It's anything but disappointing, though! It got its name from fur trader John Meares, when he was searching for the Columbia river to meet a ship, and ended up getting lost and discovering the cape at the ocean, instead! He jokingly named the spot Cape Disappointment in his journal because he was annoyed at not having gotten where he wanted to be.
Hi Shirley These are the hearts that I could not give you in the rating because we are only allowed one which will never do after the fabulous parcel I received from you. I am still smiling!!!!!! Pat
Hi Shirley! Thank you so much for the pretty totes for the NfS Tote Bag Lovers Tag! No, my daughter doesn't know your grandson because she didn't attend the local public schools. I still think it's neat that your family lives near me! Thanks again and happy swapping. Best, Laura in Mass.
