Basic Information: I am a mother to an amazing college freshman who is going into nursing. Now that heâs independent Iâve got some extra time on my hands and have gotten back in to paper crafting.
Current Crafting Interests: *Paper crafts *Making homemade ephemera *Junk Journalsâ-â¤ď¸ making these so much *Christmas Card Craftsâ- Christmas is my favorite holiday! *Craft Fair Items *Project Life
Thriftingâ-I love the thrill of the hunt! Things Iâm always on the lookout for include: *Little Golden Books- especially from the 1950âs *Jr Elf Books *Vintage Books for ephemera *Vintage Stationary *Vintage Cards-my absolute favorite! *Vintage Bingo Cards *Vintage Playing Cards *Milk Glass-especially hobnail *Vintage Patterns *Vintage sewing supplies *Vintage Christmas Items
Some of my best times are spent thrifting with my mother. We find so many great items when we are together and she always shares! My best recent find was a Christmas Carols Vintage Little Golden Book for $0.10.
In addition to being a mother, I teach high school students with special needs how to be good employees. I absolutely love my job and feel blessed to do what I do. My students run a school enterprise where we prepare lunch for approximately 90 people three times per month. The students are involved in every step in the process from planning meals to buying groceries to preparing and serving the meals.
I am also active in my local teacherâs union and enjoy talking to legislators about topics that impact public education.
Other things that make me happy: *Red Licorice *Haribo Gummy Bears *Warm, Sunny Days *Spending time with family *Christmas and any related activities *Elves, especially Christmas Elves *Nice pens *Essential Oils *Dogs-especially my two cuties Bruno and Shadow *Meaningful Friendships *Journal Embellishments *Pretty Ephemera *Project Life Cards *Tea, especially Chai.â-not anything with mint though *Hot Chocolate with whipped cream *My Gratitude Journal *Reading *Good Movies *Inspirational Quotes *Unused Stamps *Pretty Notecards *Giraffes *Polar Bears *Dogs & Puppies *Butterflies *Flowers *Vellum Papers *Fairies *Book pages in languages other than English *Vintage greeting cards *Washi Stickers *Mushrooms *Gnomes
The sounds of water make me relaxed and happy. I listen to meditation music with water sounds to help me sleep at night. I absolutely love waterfalls! A beautiful waterfall picture makes my day. One of my goals for the next few years is to travel to see several waterfalls.
Things Iâm not too fond of: *Teacher items- I already have a ton *Kiddie or reward stickers *Spiders and Clowns- both terrify me *CoffeeâI do love the smell though *Things that smell like smoke
Books: I love to read but never seem to have enough time. I am currently reading a book to my students called The Positive Dog. Itâs about gratitude and how having a positive attitude can change your life.
Some of my favorites: *Nancy Drew- starting to reread these *Inspirational Stories *Mysteries *Romance *Self-Help
Music: Green Day is my all time favorite band. A few years ago I took my son to see them at The Pageant(a small club) in St. Louis. The experience was absolutely amazing.
In the 80âs Depeche Mode, Violent Femmes and The Cure were among my favorite.
I am a huge music lover. I listen to many types of music, but am not fond of Country music. My son is a musicianâviolin and electric guitar. When he was youngerâ-and didnât drive yetâ-I took him to numerous metal concerts. Consequently, I have developed an appreciation for all types of metal music. My son and I even took my mother to a Ghost concert where she had a great time. If you ride in her car you will listen to her Ghost CDâPrequelle. I really get a kick out of that.

Welcome to Sunshine Swaps!
The Pageant is a really cool venue! I saw Brand New there in 2007. It was a haul to St. Louis from Indiana, but when the band you want to see isnt planning a stop in your state, you do what you have to do!
I RECEIVED YOUR LETTER!!! (Apologies for shouting LOL) Just wanted to let you know as it made quite a long journey. THANK YOU, I love it -- and the little junky notebook too! <3
Hi Jamie, Thank you for the two forever stamps and the cool bookends card. That was above and beyond the measly 15 cents due. The gesture was so appreciated!!! Michelle
Hey there! Just wanted to invite you to my new swap I am hosting. Thanks!
