Swap description: the ZMACS Etsy promo swap
We're coming up to the busy season for anybody who attends craft fairs and/or has an Etsy (or other online) store, so I thought it was time to run another round of this swap.

You will send your partner 5 business cards plus 5 small promo samples which give an idea of the kind of thing you sell. Promo items could be a mini-zine, a handmade postcard or greeting card, handmade stickers, a button, a badge, a cellphone charm, mailing labels - anything that is easy for you to make multiples of, but is still a good representation of the kind of things you sell.

The idea is that you will give away the promos you receive in this swap FREE to anyone who buys something from your craft stall, Etsy store, posts to your blog giveaway (however you prefer to arrange it) etc. It's just a way to give your own customers a little extra something with their purchase at the same time as helping to promote a fellow ZMACS crafter. :)

In addition to the promos, you will send one larger item that you would normally sell in your store for $5 or more. This is an extra gift for your partner, as a thank you for distributing your promos!

Swap requirements

  • Please link to your online store in your profile. Your store must sell handmade items rather than supplies (a mixture is okay).
  • 3 partners = 3 promo pack + gifts sent & 3 promo pack + gifts received
  • Each promo pack comprises 5 business cards attached to 5 small promo items. (Please make sure your business card will not be separated from its promo item. It's up to you to find a way that works best for your item - include card & item in a cello bag, use card as a hang tag for a cell phone charm, staple your card to your item etc. You don't want the eventual recipient to be wondering who made your awesome creation, you want them to know who you are so they can come & buy more!)
  • Make sure promo items are small/lightweight so that your partner does not have to increase their shipping costs to mail them on.
  • In addition to the 5 promo items described above, send one larger item (available in your store for a minimum of $5) as a gift to each partner.
  • Send on time!

The obvious bit
This is a time-intensive swap, so please be aware of that before signing up. You must have completed 30 Type 3 swaps to join this swap. Late swaps & low ratings will all be checked before assigning partners. Contact me if you think there might be a problem.

All the things I sell are under 5USD. Would it be possible to put more things together for this one so the total comes to 5USD?

Absolutely! :)

Yay! I'm glad that this swap is back... I've enjoyed participating in the first round! :)

I don't have an etsy shop and am curious about yours. Send me a message once you have a link in your profile.

I have 3 Etsy shops - is it ok to send a mix from each? I have closed one down but still sell at craft shows and online (just not on Etsy anymore).

@manders2280 - who was your comment directed at? @wevegotpaper 's etsy store is linked on her profile.

@glamazon08 - you may mix & match from more than one etsy store, but please only the ones that are still open. The point of the swap is to promote items to potential buyers & if the store isn't open any longer, that is negated somewhat! ;-)

@TangleCrafts - ok thanks for clarifying! I think my open shop doesn't fit for promos :(

Sorry. :(
