Description:

Hello!

The swap idea is stolen from @jukejan !
We will make a masterboard piece!
You can use the pieces from your partners for postcards, background for cardmaking and so on.

Use the links I have listed below for guidance.

This is very interpretive and will be senders choice on background paper, stamps and inks.
You take thicker paper, like cardboard in size DinA4(210mm × 297mm) or similar size for your country.

You have to use at least 3 different colours. You can leave the background paper blank or colour it, stamp different images on in at least 3 different colours.

You will take the piece and cut it in 4 equal parts and send 2 pieces each to your 2 partners.
(so you will have 4 pieces in DinA6 105mm × 148mm or similar to your country sizes)

edit: 8.5"x11" sheet cut into four 4.25"x5.5" pieces edit out :)

You can send more pieces if you wish of course.

Have fun!

I will check profiles for any unexplained ones and reserve the right to ban anyone with difficulties in making good on swaps.

So this is primarily done just using stamps and ink...very pretty idea.

TerryF 12/15/2012 #

DinA4(210mm × 297mm) = 8 1/2" x 11" in North America.

luluvision 12/15/2012 #

This sounds like fun!

jukejan 12/16/2012 #

Ah yes, lots of fun.

jukejan 12/16/2012 #

Question? This is to be inside an envelope? I sent my earlier swap as a postcard.

Fatherted 12/16/2012 #

Thanks Terry. You can use bigger paper pieces like 12x12 Inch of course, the size above is just a standard, minimum size so everyone gets the same amount.

@jan yes, in an envelope, I changed the swap a bit, cause we have a lot of cardmakers in the group too.

Fatherted 12/16/2012 #

8½ x 11" Manila Cardstock would be perfect for example.

NickiSlater 12/17/2012 #

So, 8.5"x11" sheet cut into four 4.25"x5.5" pieces? Then send 2 of these to each partner? This sounds like so much fun!

Fatherted 12/17/2012 #

yes! i hope this is mailable for you in a standard envelope?

NickiSlater 12/18/2012 #

Those sizes would fit perfectly in a standard business envelope. I don't think I can make just one masterboard tho. This sounds addicting!

I just got some new stamps to use, and I can add them to my old favs~.~

MissThundercat 01/ 9/2013 #

oh, as an avid rubber stamp & paper lover, i must join in! fun technique, thanks for sharing @fatherted :)

vronica 01/14/2013 #

Is it ok to use thicker watercolor paper and have a watercolored background instead of inking it?

Fatherted 01/14/2013 #

yes, you can use watercolour paper, make sure the stamped image is doable on that type of paper. you can watercolour your background or leave it blank. you dont have to ink the background. for the stamps you will need inkpads. i am not sure if I understood you correct.
