I didn't see any zine swaps currently active, so I decided to make one! For this swap, we'll create an eight-page minizine using these directions, copy it three times, and send one copy each to three partners.
If you want to get fancy and do more than eight pages, or copy it in full color, or put a poster on the reverse side, it's all good but not required. The only rules are at least eight pages, 2.75" by 4.25" (or 1/8th the European equivalent to letter-size paper), and NO COMPUTERS. We'll be cutting and pasting analog style! (You can type your text on a computer, then print it out and cut and paste it.)
The topic or theme is sender's choice, but please don't just scribble on one side of a piece of paper and call it good. Follow the Swap-bot golden rule and send something you'd like to receive. Rate a five if what you receive was postmarked by the deadline and fits the swap requirements.
This swap is newbie-friendly as long as your profile is thorough (view mine for ideas), and I will angel any missing zines after ratings are given. There's a quick turnaround between signup deadline and send date, so you can get crackin' now and have your zines ready to go. Happy zining!
NOTE: We have at least one Australian swapper, and the 28th is a holiday in Australia--clearly, they're celebrating my birthday. In any case, I'm pushing the deadline back a day so everyone can get theirs out on time, and you get that much more time to finish your zine!
