Diana, Thanks for getting this next one going. Since I just cut a ton of squares, I'm in; no problem :-)

Tilly1218 03/10/2007 #

See why everyone should save all their scraps! Paper these days is so expensive and I just hate to pitch it. I seem to always find something to use on another page from my scrap box. These work great for punches and many other things!!!

CraftyDiana 03/10/2007 #

Thanks Sueb..this is my first attempt to host a swap so I'm hoping it goes well! I signed up for your swap and already put my packages together. I know that the minimum was 25, but I included well over 100 squares for each of my partners. I love paper so much that I got a little carried away! :-)

WillowTree21 03/10/2007 #

OMG I LOVE the little photo! SO cute!

Goodness, CraftyDiana, if I get you to send to, I hope I don't let you down! I don't have any where that amount of paper! Your partners will be very lucky!

Susi 03/10/2007 #

I have punch that I will measure to see if it's 2x2, if so I will join. I just joined another like this so I don't want to be doning two at the same time... I also have o look at the time deadlines, I am over my head with swaps this week and the next 2, that I need some that have a later sign up date! susi

CraftyDiana 03/11/2007 #

Hi Susi! The squares don't need to be perfect, I cut mine with regular scissors and some are 2 inches, some are bigger. We'd love to have you, but no worries if you have lots of other swaps going on! :-)

user6261 03/11/2007 #

I signed up yesterday and spent a couple hours watching The Closer and cutting. I'll have many more than 25 for each partner. It's hard to stop once you start hunting and cutting. I used precise cutting methods initially, but then just went to scissors. Most of my pieces are well over 2'. Sometimes I want to include a whole motif or repeat so do more and other times just want to give partners a little more to work with. Next I'll have fun getting creative. I like this swap a lot.

WillowTree21 03/11/2007 #

LOL CraftyDiana, I grabbed paper that I have been using, many of the papers are my favs. Will I did not count when I started BUT by the time I was through, that pile of scrap paper, I had 50 reg pieces per person! I was shocked it went that fast and was that easy. I made a template (box from mac and cheese :p) and used it to draw my squares. I hop you make another swap like this! Thanks!

hiddenjade 03/11/2007 #

I'd like to try my hands on this swap. My understanding is that the paper squares doesn't need to be acid-free.

CraftyDiana 03/11/2007 #

Hidden Jade..they do not need to be acid free papers. As long as the paper squares are nice and something you'd be happy to receive, you are good to go! :)

twobluecrows 03/13/2007 #

By construction paper, do you mean the cheap non-acid free kind? I have some that is really nice and acid-free, great colors. I use it in my collages. Can I include a few pieces of that? Cyn

CraftyDiana 03/15/2007 #

Hi Cyn

As long as it's not the cheap kind you get at the supermarket in those boring primary colors. If it's interesting and good quality, I'm sure its fine! :)

Doskie & Marylen: You should have received your mailings by now. They were sent early... hope you like! -Juli

user6261 03/30/2007 #

Oops...I don't know how I double posted above. Would someone tell me how you know who DID NOT send their package to their partner? I notice that people leave negative ratings for people who didn't send to them, but I can't figure out how they knew who they were?

user6261 03/30/2007 #

I'd like to withdraw the above message. I get it now!

user6978 03/30/2007 #

Valerie from CA, thank you so much for the papers! I especially like the Asian/origami ones and the cherries. Looking at them gets me inspired to create something RIGHT NOW! Fun!

user6261 03/31/2007 #

valerie from CA. I love your papers. They're unique and so beautiful. I have actually never seen origami papers in person and now I'll have to have more. I checked out your web site and enjoyed reading it a lot. And, like tuxbird, love the cherries!

user6261 04/10/2007 #

Has anyone heard from jmculver? I sent her package nearly a month ago and have emailed also, but haven't had confirmation that she received it. I hope it got there.
