I'm an academic librarian who's fleeing from Florida in November to find a quieter life on the frontier of Wyoming. I'm interested in rural renaissance and leaving a smaller footprint. I love anything library related: postcards, bookmarks, stickers, old library cards, you name it!

I enjoy growing organic herbs and veggies and butterfly gardening; camping; narwhals; baking; reading fiction, non-fiction and memoirs; natural soaps; being a Mac user; avoiding housework; traveling; learning; Kliban's cats; Boynton's farm animals; drinking red wines; visiting bookstores and coffee shops; kayaking; being in nature; being around animals; watching movies; listening to music; going to museums; Bookcrossing and PaperBackSwap; geocaching; scavenger hunts; hanging clothes to line dry; friends; photography; collecting memories; and correspondence.

I adore autumn, I have an addiction to paper, and I LOVE CHICKENS, as in hens, not roosters!

NO to: cutesy or country themes, religious, baby or kid stuffs, fantasy/sci-fi, teacher stickers, pirates, skulls, bright colors, glittery things, anything "diva", coffee, or things that use a lot of artificial flavorings or scents. PLEASE, save your dollars and pass on sending me Dollar Store junk. Blue, it is my least favorite color. Oh, I abhor WAL-MART.

VERY IMPORTANT -- If you're a smoker, you may not realize this but what you send arrives smelling like smoke. PLEASE, be thoughtful of the recipient and let your things air-out OUTSIDE of your home before sending. I end up throwing away a lot of stinky stuff because the smell just won't go away!

Eclectic.

Amelie, Chicken Run, Benny & Joon, the FIRST Star Wars, Cinema Paradiso, Il Postino, Raising Arizona, The Secretary, Somewhere in Time, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Cool Hand Luke, To Kill a Mockingbird... I'm a movie junkie, really. I borrow from the library and am a Netflixer and love documentary, independent foreign film. I do not watch TV except for some shows on DVD.

In general, papercrafting: mail art, collage, card making, rubber stamping, and eventually scrapbooking. I'm interested in art journaling, book altering, embroidery, and knitting although I've yet to give them a try or I'm just now starting to experiment. I have started sewing & quilting!!
