Description:

This is an international, global swap, open to all who want to Celebrate the End of the Bush Regime. Newbies welcome. You have 5 swap partners to send a postcard to. Swappers with no-sends may be banned (unless you can really convince me that you have changed your ways.) Postcards must be mailed by January 20th, 2009. Bush's Last Day!

Your Postcard can be purchased or hand-made. Most prefer their postcards to be mailed NAKED, that is, no envelope unless there is a good reason for it.

Your postcard can depict President Bush, or any of his infamous cohorts. Perhaps Bush looks nice and presidential, or funny and stupid. This is the guy who was often misunderestimated. There are probably many of these postcards to be found in stores, but I suspect that soon they will be very rare, as we try to move on to something new, something hopeful perhaps. Rare and collectible reminders of this historical period. There are also many hilarious Bush postcards out there. Even the few Bush supporters who remain are usually up for a good laugh at his expense.

Or the postcard can depict anything else. Perhaps you are tired of seeing his face, and suspect that others may also be ready for a big change. You could instead choose a postcard that reflects your hope for change. New possibilities. Remember that Bush’s Last Day is also Obama’s First Day. So perhaps you want to choose a card with that in mind. However, you must at least mention Bush’s Last Day on the back of the card, since that is what we are celebrating with this swap.

In the few words you can fit on the back side, you may want to note some of the reasons you see for celebration. Perhaps you feel this is the Worst President Ever. Or you still suspect that he and his friends stole every election they participated in. Maybe it was deceptions about 9/11 which bother you, the lies that send us into war, the tax breaks for the rich that left us with poor schools and bad health care.

When Bush took office, the price of gas was $1.46 per gallon and there was a surplus in the national budget. Now that that economy is in the toilet, we get a little relief in gas prices. Even though Bush long ago declared “Mission Accomplished” in the war, the quagmire drags on. There are many who feel that the Bush Regime should get one more term, but that it should be in PRISON. Impeachment would be too good. We hope those who advocated Torture For Cheney are joking. Surely there are many who will miss the grand opportunities for dark humor that this administration provided. Including all the women who proudly declared “The Only Bush I Trust is My Own.”

Be sure to read the profile of the person you are sending each postcard to. Are they in another country? What are their interests and how can you respond to those interests? Remember, letting your recipient know that you read and responded to their profile is still the best was to get a great rating. This swap is open to newbies, so if you know friends who are really glad to see Bush go, perhaps you would like to turn them on to this swap and see if they want to participate. Spread the word! Involve others around the world! Plan a big party!

Have fun! Celebrate Change!

Off with his head, and hope he doesn't burn down the White House on his way OUT--Lord knows he's done everything else! I don't know what kind of a card I'll make, but this one is TOO GOOD to pass up! Thanks for the great idea!

Terrorist, traitor, idiot, whatever you want to call him, I can't wait for him to be gone! Come on, World Court in the Hague - he's committed war crimes. Can't you guys get him since we in the U.S. seem to want to let him get away with it all? I agree, this swap is TOO GOOD to pass up!

Worst. President. Ever.

Have you left your heartfelt goodbye to George W. Bush?

Note to Katken..... At the risk of sounding rude... I am aware that there are many people who support our president, and others who think he has done.. at least an OK job. But you should be aware that there are many, many others who are angry, frustrated and embarrassed by what has been done. I have watched as the anger and frustration has grown. I distribute postcards all across the country on a wide variety of topics, but nothing has come close to the sales of anti-Bush postcards. Even things which at first seemed too rude, negative or extreme... those were usually the ones that became the most popular. After these 8 years, there seems to be nothing too extreme for the level of anger and frustration. I do not expect everyone to agree with this view, but you should know that many feel it. In my view, the Bush Regime and their actions has polarized this country more than anything since the Vietnam War and Nixon. The bad karma is finally catching up with them. And while there will undoubtedly be many well-paid people working to spin the Bush legacy as a wonderful thing, I suspect many others will not forget the damage done. For now, we can celebrate change. There is much healing and repair needed.

I'm not a Bush fan and am excited to see what postcards I will receive. I've never seen one and have made my own for this occassion. For reasons my swap partners will hopefully understand, I will be mailing my post cards in an envelope.

I can't wait for Bush to be out and Obama in. I figure that if people feel this swap is "rude" or "offensive" then they don't have to participate. That's the great thing about this site and America in general!

I just signed up for this swap and am excited to see what kind of postcards i get...for anyone interested, i found a book of postcards on amazon with funny pictures and bush-isms that i am also going to send out to all my friends and family that were, to say the least, a little frustrated with him over these last eight years... what a great swap idea!!

Just a little FYI...really the 19th is President Bushes last day...The morning of the 20th Obama will take the reigns....so you might want to back it up 2 days and this way the sendouts willbe on the 20th
