i've been dying to make more zines and more importantly -- read more zines! this quick swap is for mini zines about whatever you'd like. you must have at least a 4.8 rating, with no recent 1 ratings. newbies are allowed, but your profile must be filled out! this is international since you can easily send mini zines in a small envelope. typically, mini zines are made on one side of a 8.5x11" paper but you can use whatever format you'd like. let's just say it must have at least 8 pages (including covers) i'm only giving 2 weeks to make the zine so that it is a quick turn around. we will have 5 partners. any questions, ask. :) also, let me know if you think this is too close to the holidays and i can change the dates.

Thanks! I've watched that video before and it makes for a nice simple zine. I just wasn't sure about your terminology of "mini zine". I remember something on the zine group about the one-pager not being acceptable for swapping there (though it may just have been a specific swap) so I thought I would check. Personally, I like the one page zines. I've received some very nice, very creative ones in the past that give a nice insight into the zinesters life.

I'd love to give it a shot but I have no clue what to write a zine about. I'm a noob.

Anyway, does anyone have any sites they can direct me to about writing zines for noobs like me?

zines can be about absolutely anything! while there isn't really a website about writing zines per se, so i suggest looking through etsy at different people's zines to see what kind of things people write about and such.

and this is a great place to look, too
