Description:

Hello everyone! I will be having a series of animal specific postcard swaps, so if anyone has any requests, make sure to message me!

For this swap you will send one dog postcard to three partners. It has to have a dog somewhere on it. Can be store bought or handmade, but if it's handmade please make sure it can hold up in the mail.

Please send postcards naked - that is, not in an envelope, stamped so as to show its travel - unless your partner specifically asks otherwise.

This swap is international, but international postage for postcards isn't bad at all.

Please, no flakers. We want this swap to be fun for everyone. You're welcome with a rating of 4.8 or above. Newbies are also welcome, as postcards are an easy way to get ratings.

Ideas for a note on the back: Talk about dogs you've owned or dogs you have now! Be creative!

I have this one in my watch. I haven't seen any doggie postcards around here, so if I join I may have to make my own. But, I've never made a postcard before. What would I need to do to make sure it's sturdy enough to go through the mail naked. Or does it have to be sent naked, or can it be sent in an envie?

How it's sent is up to your partner, but usually I prefer naked postcards. As long as the postcard is printed on heavy cardstock it usually holds up well. I know some people also laminate them or glue together two pieces of cardstock to reinforce it.

grannylove60 look on google images for free dog art or clip art and make your own postcard from scratch....see what you can come up with, it would be fun! and i bet your partner would love it. i do that a lot and as long as it's free images that you use, you don't have to worry about copywrite laws. i'm going to clear some of my swaps and join in.

I love my dogs more than anything...and feel beyond blessed to have them in my life...can't wait to create something based on my favorite muses!

Grannylove, if you are nervous about doing handmade pc's, go to Walmart photo area. They have adhesive backed pc blanks that you stick your photo or whatever to. You just need to cover every bit of the surface because it is sticky. I got mine from wwwTHE2BUDS.com and w/b glad to send you some if you will msg me your snailmail addr.~Michele

Linda, usually the swap host assigns the partners on the same or next day of the deadline. Hopefully she logs in today to assign the partners otherwise I'm dropping out even though I already have my cards.
