As some of you may know we lost Sweet Beatrice on Christmas day. My heart is breaking for her family. I would like to thank all my Swap-Bot family for going above and beyond to send her a postcard. They were all a little bit of joy to her small world.

I read short stories every day at lunch and novels at bed time

Don't get to see a lot of movies but favor sci-fi and comedies. Most musicals. A good action flick once in the while.

We have one of the few drive-ins left in the country and we enjoy it as much as we can.

I don't watch a lot of television being a full time worker and outdoors fan but I'm a sucker for the Discovery Channel and the National Geographic Channel.

I like CSI but won't go out of my way to watch it.

Love watching cycling (Tour de France, Tour of California!), Men's tennis and what little surfing is out there.

The DVR takes care of anything I really want to see.

I'm not the crafty type but I'm good on the sewing machine (thanks Mom) and make things I can't always get my hands on.

I make the best martingale collars for my whippets!

I started making beaded dog necklaces that people really love for their pets. This has turned into making necklaces for people too!!

To make things clear I don't like handmade postcards. I do appreciate the time and talent some people put into them but I've been burned bad by what people call art. A cut out newspaper comic or a piece of wallpaper is not a postcard to me. I collect store bought postcards and try not to sign up for swaps that allow homemade cards. Please save those cards for people who really want them! Thanks!!
