Description:

This is the second in the series of 7 Continents of the World Chunky Pages. This is for Antarctica. Because we can't really pick a country, we will base this on the climate, native birds and sea life, etc. You will create a Chunky Page of Antarctica for two partners. That is a total of 2 pages; 1 page for each partner. Hopefully, by the time we are finished we will have all sorts of wonderful international pages for our books.

Each one of your pages should be 4.5” across and 4” down with the .5” on the left kept empty for binding. Please do not punch holes or use other binding methods as each person may wish to bind them differently.

Decorate and make chunky the front page. Cover the back with some sort of paper but no embellishments and write your name and the Continent. You may also write a little bit of info about Antarctica if you like. Please use heavy cardstock so these will stand up to all the embellishments you are putting on them.

This is International. Please have a full profile and at least five mailed and rated craft type swaps with a 4.9 rating. NO recent no-sends or flakers. I am hoping to make it fun for everyone; that means everyone keeps their end of the bargain and sends out a thoughtful and timely swap. Please PM me if you have a 4.8 due to an unfair rating and I will consider adding you!

If you think you would want to get started on other Continents for future months, I will be going in this order: Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia (I guess I should say Oceania), Europe, North America, and South America. Obviously, when we get to Antarctica it won’t be based on an individual country but instead think about the climate, native sea life or birds, etc.

Any questions? Ask away.

I'm going to watch this until the date gets closer. I'm fairly sure I'll join though. Do you know if anyone has an extra page from the first swap, or do you think you'll host a swap for people making up the ones they missed? Can't wait to get started with this chilly page!

hum....Doodlebabe...maybe we could set up a private swap at the end of the series for Africa...I hope you can join all the others and we can work something out!

I have absolutely no idea what a chunky page is. But I am absolutely fasinated by Antartica - I so wish I had the money to visit. This is on my watchlist. Will have to bone up on chunky pages, lol.

Doodlebabe: I also missed the Africa one because I had no swap openings. I will join this one for sure, even I am a bit nervous as I never made chunky pages before. At the end of the series I am sure you and I could have a private swap for Africa pages!

Ozi: I am also fascinated by Antarctica. However we should not visit. There are enough tourists there already that contaminate Antarctica. And it will soon be a problem. I know , cause I wrote a paper on tourism in Antarctica. But we can admire from the distance, right??

Oh HoneyBunny and Sharila, you two are fabulous! I'm joining this and hopefully one of you would like to set up a private swap. I'm so nervous but I think this will be so much fun!
